yes. that's how charisma works. it prevents people from judging you for what you really may be. i mean, how else do you think hitler could get so many people to comply with him, for example?
also, i don't think he comes off as ungrateful. he comes off as self-deprecating and as not taking himself or the movie too seriously. lbr, if it seemed that he thought twilight was srs bsns people'd take him for a damn fool.
kstew comes off as bitter and like she takes herself too seriously, which is just hilarious considering that twilight is a mess.
