The only thing I can think of is that thing where people backtrack to avoid embarrassment? Like, when you wave at someone but they don't wave back and you try to play it off like you're scratching your head or something lol. But then, why even tweet?

He said he was waiting for his luggage and Jonah assumed he was waiting for him.

I think what he meant was he thought it was just a random person passing by and said hi, but then the bellman told him it was Jonah Hill. So he was fine with the interaction until AFTER he found out it was someone famous, because Jonah didn't recognize him and may have just assumed he was a ~lowly bellman~.

But I think that makes it worse though....

wait I read it as he was mad Jonah treated him like a bellboy and was rude like people are to someone in that position, so that's how he showed his colors. I didn't read it as Jonah failed to recognize him. I'm not sure who I think is the douche then lol.

Jonah acknowledged him (saying hi... ) if Lemon doesn't think the acknowledgement is enough, then HE'S the one who's entitled.

he could have sounded rude saying that, like barely acknowledging him, but ia, if there was something so super offensive about Jonah's behavior there, the CNN guy doesn't describe it well enough. sounds like he was just unhappy his feet weren't kissed.

the whole thing sounds bizarre anyway, who makes a fuss over greetings inside a bathroom? at least wait until you're outside damn.

Some person you don't know says hi to you in a hotel lobby, you're probably just gonna mumble hi and keep on going though. I'm not sure "thinking he was the bellman" had anything to do with it.

He explained it later, but he knew he was famous, he just couldn't remember his name.

He said that he was just like "Oh hey" or something and Jonah kind of shrugged him off like he was "the help" and he said he was like "Oh, I just wanted to say I think you're really funny" or whatever.
