Source

Have you encountered any rude celebs, ONTD?
permanentrain 9th-Nov-2012 05:25 am (UTC)
conan was prob the nicest celeb i met
wigsnatcher 9th-Nov-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
oh! my friend was coming out of a hotel elevator to go to the gym and conan was right there waiting for the elevator.

she yelled "Conan, what are you doing here!?"

and he goes "I'm here for you!" and grabs and shakes her hand, lol
permanentrain 9th-Nov-2012 05:33 am (UTC)
awwww yeah he was really nice we met him last year after one of his shows in NYC but at the taping during the credits of the show he went into the audience and hugged my friend she was DYING
so_chic_doll 9th-Nov-2012 05:51 am (UTC)
LOL that's awesome.

i love how your friend was like, "conan, what are you doing here?!"
rockin_slovakin 9th-Nov-2012 07:13 am (UTC)

I sat a few rows behind Justin Bieber on a plane. He left the seat up in the bathroom (lol) and talked on his phone during the flight.

I also met Cesar Milan (the dog whisperer) and he was kinda nice but in a fake way. And ridiculously tan with glowing white teeth.

Edited at 2012-11-09 05:26 am (UTC)
blrocks 9th-Nov-2012 05:27 am (UTC)
Cesar's teeth are ridic. They're so distracting I watch the show.
mementox 9th-Nov-2012 05:32 am (UTC)
They were seriously insane I couldn't stop staring lol
lemonpink 9th-Nov-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
lol i got off the plane at the buffalo airport when justin bieber did from a different flight and there were like 3 news cameras and maybe 4 girls with i <3 bieber signs and he was SO pissed saying how he expected to 'see more fans' being so close to his hometown

lql nope
itspokerface 9th-Nov-2012 08:17 am (UTC)
I met Cesar Millan too! And IA with the glowing white teeth, lmao
galagooo 9th-Nov-2012 05:26 am (UTC)
I went to a Shaggy concert, and he asked where all the virgin girls are at. He's way too old to be doing that.
jammyjam 9th-Nov-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
LOL omg what
saltireflower 9th-Nov-2012 05:41 am (UTC)
He would
popartpistol 9th-Nov-2012 11:25 am (UTC)
It wasn't him.
janeeyre 9th-Nov-2012 01:38 pm (UTC)
He's a perv irl
permanentrain 9th-Nov-2012 05:26 am (UTC)

a_klutz 9th-Nov-2012 08:53 pm (UTC)

vidriodeperlas my celeb encounters9th-Nov-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
oprah waved/blew a kiss at me.

i danced with ellen.

hugged lauren graham. (same day as ellen bc she was on the ellen show that day)

hugged maya angelou and tamara tunie at the color purple on broadway. (same day i waved at oprah.)
leila54 Re: my celeb encounters9th-Nov-2012 11:10 pm (UTC)
The first 2 = YOU WIN.
pennyroyaltea 9th-Nov-2012 05:28 am (UTC)
i've seen celebs around where i live but never enough to build an impression. i wouldn't necessarily consider her a celebrity, but the lady who played phil's mom on phil of the future (she was on quite a few popular soap operas as well) comes into my work often and she is seriously the nicest, most pleasant woman to be around. her presence makes everyone happy lol

sillylily1991 9th-Nov-2012 05:29 am (UTC)
I almost forgot about this,
okay I work at Subway and Jack Osbourne went in there and I got to make his sandwich and he was totally adorable and nice.

That's the only 'celebrity' encounter I've had.
rediculouslyon 9th-Nov-2012 05:30 am (UTC)
all my encounters:

gabe saporta has always been AMAZING to me. we've formed a weird friendship....fanship? i don't know. he gives me free tickets to shows, keeps in touch, is fucking amazing. i am on a first name basis with that whole band but gabe, alex, and ryalnd are the ones who are coolest to me. they can't help but remember who i am, considering i've seen them live 25 times. but that is easy to do when tickets are always free.

hanson was all around awesome to me. i had hit isaac in the face with a glowstick a few years before i met him and told me we couldn't be friends and he'd never forgive me, jokingly. zac talked to me about a whole bunch of charity work for like, a half mile of walking.

claire danes is sweet and said hi to me and my friend when she was at the whitney with her mother. it was nice of her.

i've met pete wentz a whole bunch of times. i don't really like him, so the first time i ran into him, i turned around to walk away but he yelled after me and we had a little conversation and took a picture. i met him a few more times and he was really nice and gracious and what not. i love fall out boy, but not him. anyway, i made a bracelet of a band he likes and he ended up with one so i supplied his management with a bunch after people kept stealing it. sidenote, he met the president wearing that bracelet squeeee.

patrick stump was so nice to me and snubbed a girl (unknowingly) so i could stand with him in a picture. he's so little. i've met him a few times but it was basically hi, autograph, bye

skrillex was the nicest celeb i've ever met. he was so nice and tiny and quiet and always cool. he made sure to stick around until everyone who wanted to talk to him did. this was back when he was still sonny moore, though.

panic at the disco is really cool to me. my best friend and i did an interview for their dvd years ago so ever since then, their security guard is cool to us and lets us into m&gs, gives us picks. they always recognize us at shows. ryan ross said 'working with you was better than winning a grammy' since the boxset the dvd was a part of was nominated and lost. i haven't seen them since before the split, though.

I met betsey johnson and she was so awesome, said she loved my hair extensions and signed my bag, took pictures with me and what not. she was so perky and sweet, giving everyone compliments.

holly madison was very nice, let people pet her dog, didn't do any autographs but did to pictures (i didn't get one) and was all around very complimentary.

i've met a whole lot of other musicians that don't really matter. i'm tight with the cab, but not many people seem to know who they are. i've met pretty much every fbr band from 2005-2009.
cuteej4 9th-Nov-2012 05:33 am (UTC)
I saw Holly Madison at Disneyland once. lol
rediculouslyon 9th-Nov-2012 05:35 am (UTC)
i was in vegas when i met her and i didn't even know she lived there or had a show there so i thought it was like the most amazing thing in the world, until i was informed that she lived there. haha
no_x_doubts 9th-Nov-2012 07:44 am (UTC)
lmao you sound like my old friend who was ~besties with every FBR band and was in love in alex deleon. i've had to meet fall out boy, cobra, and all time low more times than people i've hung out with in real life lol
stopscenekids 9th-Nov-2012 10:36 am (UTC)
i can vouch for skrillex still being nice. i hung out with him and his crew for two days whilst he was doing a festival here. always takes photos with fans, will talk to anyone. bought me my friend and random fans who had been following him shots. i don't even really like his music but definitely the nicest person i've ever met.
not_poplar 9th-Nov-2012 05:23 pm (UTC)
so late, but i fucking love the cab and met them on my birthday this past summer and they were all so sweet and chill except for marshall who looked really awkward bc all these girls were fawning over him and his girlfriend was looking like a bitch.
wigsnatcher 9th-Nov-2012 05:34 am (UTC)
kinda OT but my friend, gay like me, has like...no celebrity recognition skills.

we walked past that giant pic of Brad Pitt in union square for Chanel and he yells "Omgggg Robert Downey Junior!!"

how can you not like...recognize the most recognizable man in hollywood?

he thought today that Gwen Stefani was in One Direction.

i love him tho.
cuteej4 9th-Nov-2012 05:35 am (UTC)
LMAO! My friend is basically the same way but the way he figures out who it is...is if they were in a zombie type movie or a movie I KNOW he's seen (which isn't many)
saltireflower 9th-Nov-2012 05:45 am (UTC)
Lol he sounds like my mom.
itspokerface 9th-Nov-2012 08:19 am (UTC)
LMAO dead at this comment
bienenkiste 9th-Nov-2012 12:58 pm (UTC)
OMG LMAAO
theartistprince 9th-Nov-2012 01:38 pm (UTC)
I have a friend who, legitimately, before she met me she only knew Tom Hanks and William Shattner by name and face..
mementox 9th-Nov-2012 05:34 am (UTC)
ONTD, if you were famous do you think ppl would think you're rude or nice?

I am so NOT a people person and large crowds give me serious anxiety so I'd probably be considered rude, tbh. I can't imagine walking down the street and giving random ppl autographs, I'd probably wear a hat and wig everyday
thesilverymoon 9th-Nov-2012 05:42 am (UTC)
People would think I was nice, but in a super fake way because I can paste on a smile but I am NOT a people person. If it was anything more than a brief interaction though they would quickly come to find that I can be a huge bitch.
sparrowsrflying 9th-Nov-2012 05:43 am (UTC)
lol people would think i'm very rude. if i don't feel like talking to someone i pretend i don't see them.
dothecrunge 10th-Nov-2012 06:49 am (UTC)
lol same
piscesvstaurus 9th-Nov-2012 05:43 am (UTC)
Nice, not because I am a sweet person, but I wouldn't be able to handle any rude comments about me on ONTD/internet.
zibbydoo324 9th-Nov-2012 05:45 am (UTC)
About 90% of people would love me and think I was a doll. The other 10% would fucking LOATHE me. ONTD would probably treat me like Goop 2.0.

I just have a super bubbly and happy personality, but I am quite snarky. I know that my personality can really annoy some people and when it annoys them, it annoys them. Sometimes, a few people that I annoy come around, but not all the time.
fwee_prower 9th-Nov-2012 05:45 am (UTC)
rude cuz i'd spill the tea
saltireflower 9th-Nov-2012 05:49 am (UTC)
Rude. Most people think I'm stuck up or cold before they get to know me. But really I'm just shy and have social anxiety.
craww 9th-Nov-2012 05:50 am (UTC)
There would be constantly conflicting reports. If I've got an extrovert to take the lead? I'm good. If I'm stuck with another introvert it's going to be awkward and I may end up seeming distant and thus rude.
so_chic_doll 9th-Nov-2012 05:54 am (UTC)
probably nice... just because people already think i'm this abnormally nice/happy person-- even though i'm a much meaner person in my head. rofl.
sihaya09 9th-Nov-2012 06:53 am (UTC)
Depends on context. When I'm onstage/in public mode, I'm pretty outgoing. If I'm doing private life stuff, I can be pretty focused on whatever I'm doing, and introverted. I think it would depend on my frame of mind at the moment, which I think is true of most celeb encounters.
forthe_asking 9th-Nov-2012 06:56 am (UTC)
Nice, after years of customer service I am an expert at briefly hamming it up to strangers.
x_brittacular 9th-Nov-2012 07:20 am (UTC)
I'd be considered an ice cold bitch unless it was a really hot guy giving me attention tbh
die2nitelive4ev 9th-Nov-2012 07:57 am (UTC)
if I was famous ONTD would slut shame me everyday like they do Rihanna because I dont hate my body and walk around covered up. I'm super awkward around new people unless I'm drunk so theyd hate me except that one batshit stan
megalixer 9th-Nov-2012 08:12 am (UTC)
I honestly don't know. I can be either really withdrawn or really outgoing and funny (well, I'd like to think so :P) depending on how comfortable I am in a situation. I imagine that I'd interview pretty well (one-on-one) and that people that worked with me would think I'm nice but that people that met me at premieres/fan events might find me sort of cold.
itspokerface 9th-Nov-2012 08:21 am (UTC)
Mmmm.. it depends, because I'm sometimes awkward as fuck, and large crowds give me anxiety too, but sometimes I'm so relaxed that I don't give a fuck, but that's not that common.

Probably nice but awkward.
miss_kate18 9th-Nov-2012 10:35 am (UTC)
I've been told people think I'm fake nice so I would probably come across that way if I was a celebrity.
I'd be OK with giving people autographs some of the time but if I got approached when I was tired or feeling sick, I'd probably be the biggest bitch alive.
sandstorm 9th-Nov-2012 03:18 pm (UTC)
It'd probably be a lot easier for me to be nicer to random people who love me than random people who might laugh at me.
a_klutz 9th-Nov-2012 09:00 pm (UTC)
Eh, I try not to be fake and if I don't like someone I don't really go out my way to smile/be nice to them. If I met a celeb irl, I'd like to think I'd keep it cool because they're still people too

Unless it was like the Chillis or smth and I would not know what to do but bask in their gloriousness

(fuck that was really random, i'm so blazed idek)
fusilli_head 9th-Nov-2012 11:00 pm (UTC)
I think people would think I'm nice. I've met a lot of celebrities and the nice/gracious people are the ones that leave the best impression on me so I'd def want to be that person if I was famous. I think it's also easier to be famous if you're kind and not standoffish. It seems like people that run away from fans/paps always get hounded and have the worst shit said about them.
isntdaveone 9th-Nov-2012 05:36 am (UTC)
thought i was the bellman

LOL!!!!!!!!!!
prophecypro 9th-Nov-2012 05:38 am (UTC)
LMAO

Don Lemon stays in awkward situations, given him a sitcom. Even when its not his fault..actually it is. He does sound scorned it to twitter.
Its only Johnah Hill too.
zibbydoo324 9th-Nov-2012 05:42 am (UTC)
I thought I had had only positive experiences, but I just remembered Robert Schwartzman and I getting into it. I guess I forget he is somewhat of a celeb.
autophanous 9th-Nov-2012 09:49 pm (UTC)
I already replied to you once, but what exactly did he say/do?
generationxwing 9th-Nov-2012 05:43 am (UTC)
Christina Hendricks was super sweet when I met her at the con here in Calgary years ago (pre-Mad Men) She was obviously jet lagged as fuck but her and Morena signed my DVDs and talked about how cute Ron Glass was.

Also awesome from this last year? James Marsters (who talked about how awesome it was to be on Torchwood), and Billy West and John DiMaggio, who both recorded video birthday messages for my friend and were just fucking amazing. Billy West was rocking out the voices like crazy.

Wil Wheaton was kind of a dick but I love him anyway.
rediculouslyon 9th-Nov-2012 05:50 am (UTC)
billy west? what a stupid, phony, made-up name.
generationxwing 9th-Nov-2012 05:59 am (UTC)
...that's his real name. I.. what?
theartistprince 9th-Nov-2012 01:39 pm (UTC)
lol love it
eulalia_vox 11th-Nov-2012 06:14 am (UTC)
XD I have to watch Futurama every night. I get into bed and watch an hour or two of Futurama. I swear I know the commentary dialogue just as well as the episode dialogue.
andisprohi 9th-Nov-2012 07:06 am (UTC)
"Wil Wheaton was kind of a dick but I love him anyway."

Don't fight it, Sheldon, just embrace it
fusilli_head 9th-Nov-2012 11:06 pm (UTC)
I'm glad you had a nice experience with James Marsters because I have heard so much bad shit about him.

piscesvstaurus 9th-Nov-2012 05:44 am (UTC)
Sarah Jessica Parker? That's sad.
pennyroyaltea 9th-Nov-2012 05:46 am (UTC)
people say this about sjp a lot, but i know someone who has had many encounters with her and she's very shy and keeps to herself. i feel like that might give people the wrong impression of her but who knows.
lemonpink 9th-Nov-2012 05:47 am (UTC)
matthew broderick was being super nice and she was like 'CAN WE GO NOW?' and side-eyed him for talking to me when literally all i had said was 'wow you guys are fantastic! i love your work. wargames was what made me get a computer & learn programming!'

they were also the tiniest people i have ever seen and i'm 5'10 and was wearing heels and it was really bizarre to see how miniature they were. sorry, sjp, i like mb's movies better. not a big fan of square pegs either

lemonpink 9th-Nov-2012 05:54 am (UTC)
oh nathan fillion was also awesome
tipsily_be 9th-Nov-2012 05:59 am (UTC)
John C. Reilly tried to put my dog on the beach once and she barked at him. I apologized and he was really polite about it. I had to do a double take on who it was, but it was nice to know he seemed pretty chill. :)
palmerraids 9th-Nov-2012 06:02 am (UTC)
I don't get the hype with Conor, yes Bright Eyes is awesome, but I can think of a lot cooler musicians.
Not surprised he's a douche though....
laurie_springs 9th-Nov-2012 07:12 am (UTC)
RE: Conor....I fucking hate everyone from his scene pm except for the ones that never truly made it. By far the most insufferable group of artistes~ ever.
popartpistol 9th-Nov-2012 11:17 am (UTC)
I remember reading something in the 90's before SATC had started about a guy that dressed as a Santa and worked at celeb parties. He said SJP was the worst person he had ever had to work with and she got really angry at him because he called her "Sarah" instead of "Miss Parker".
But also, lol at Santa hating SJP.
