awwww yeah he was really nice we met him last year after one of his shows in NYC but at the taping during the credits of the show he went into the audience and hugged my friend she was DYING
lol i got off the plane at the buffalo airport when justin bieber did from a different flight and there were like 3 news cameras and maybe 4 girls with i <3 bieber signs and he was SO pissed saying how he expected to 'see more fans' being so close to his hometown
i've seen celebs around where i live but never enough to build an impression. i wouldn't necessarily consider her a celebrity, but the lady who played phil's mom on phil of the future (she was on quite a few popular soap operas as well) comes into my work often and she is seriously the nicest, most pleasant woman to be around. her presence makes everyone happy lol
gabe saporta has always been AMAZING to me. we've formed a weird friendship....fanship? i don't know. he gives me free tickets to shows, keeps in touch, is fucking amazing. i am on a first name basis with that whole band but gabe, alex, and ryalnd are the ones who are coolest to me. they can't help but remember who i am, considering i've seen them live 25 times. but that is easy to do when tickets are always free.
hanson was all around awesome to me. i had hit isaac in the face with a glowstick a few years before i met him and told me we couldn't be friends and he'd never forgive me, jokingly. zac talked to me about a whole bunch of charity work for like, a half mile of walking.
claire danes is sweet and said hi to me and my friend when she was at the whitney with her mother. it was nice of her.
i've met pete wentz a whole bunch of times. i don't really like him, so the first time i ran into him, i turned around to walk away but he yelled after me and we had a little conversation and took a picture. i met him a few more times and he was really nice and gracious and what not. i love fall out boy, but not him. anyway, i made a bracelet of a band he likes and he ended up with one so i supplied his management with a bunch after people kept stealing it. sidenote, he met the president wearing that bracelet squeeee.
patrick stump was so nice to me and snubbed a girl (unknowingly) so i could stand with him in a picture. he's so little. i've met him a few times but it was basically hi, autograph, bye
skrillex was the nicest celeb i've ever met. he was so nice and tiny and quiet and always cool. he made sure to stick around until everyone who wanted to talk to him did. this was back when he was still sonny moore, though.
panic at the disco is really cool to me. my best friend and i did an interview for their dvd years ago so ever since then, their security guard is cool to us and lets us into m&gs, gives us picks. they always recognize us at shows. ryan ross said 'working with you was better than winning a grammy' since the boxset the dvd was a part of was nominated and lost. i haven't seen them since before the split, though.
I met betsey johnson and she was so awesome, said she loved my hair extensions and signed my bag, took pictures with me and what not. she was so perky and sweet, giving everyone compliments.
holly madison was very nice, let people pet her dog, didn't do any autographs but did to pictures (i didn't get one) and was all around very complimentary.
i've met a whole lot of other musicians that don't really matter. i'm tight with the cab, but not many people seem to know who they are. i've met pretty much every fbr band from 2005-2009.
i was in vegas when i met her and i didn't even know she lived there or had a show there so i thought it was like the most amazing thing in the world, until i was informed that she lived there. haha
lmao you sound like my old friend who was ~besties with every FBR band and was in love in alex deleon. i've had to meet fall out boy, cobra, and all time low more times than people i've hung out with in real life lol
i can vouch for skrillex still being nice. i hung out with him and his crew for two days whilst he was doing a festival here. always takes photos with fans, will talk to anyone. bought me my friend and random fans who had been following him shots. i don't even really like his music but definitely the nicest person i've ever met.
so late, but i fucking love the cab and met them on my birthday this past summer and they were all so sweet and chill except for marshall who looked really awkward bc all these girls were fawning over him and his girlfriend was looking like a bitch.
LMAO! My friend is basically the same way but the way he figures out who it is...is if they were in a zombie type movie or a movie I KNOW he's seen (which isn't many)
ONTD, if you were famous do you think ppl would think you're rude or nice?
I am so NOT a people person and large crowds give me serious anxiety so I'd probably be considered rude, tbh. I can't imagine walking down the street and giving random ppl autographs, I'd probably wear a hat and wig everyday
People would think I was nice, but in a super fake way because I can paste on a smile but I am NOT a people person. If it was anything more than a brief interaction though they would quickly come to find that I can be a huge bitch.
About 90% of people would love me and think I was a doll. The other 10% would fucking LOATHE me. ONTD would probably treat me like Goop 2.0.
I just have a super bubbly and happy personality, but I am quite snarky. I know that my personality can really annoy some people and when it annoys them, it annoys them. Sometimes, a few people that I annoy come around, but not all the time.
There would be constantly conflicting reports. If I've got an extrovert to take the lead? I'm good. If I'm stuck with another introvert it's going to be awkward and I may end up seeming distant and thus rude.
Depends on context. When I'm onstage/in public mode, I'm pretty outgoing. If I'm doing private life stuff, I can be pretty focused on whatever I'm doing, and introverted. I think it would depend on my frame of mind at the moment, which I think is true of most celeb encounters.
if I was famous ONTD would slut shame me everyday like they do Rihanna because I dont hate my body and walk around covered up. I'm super awkward around new people unless I'm drunk so theyd hate me except that one batshit stan
I honestly don't know. I can be either really withdrawn or really outgoing and funny (well, I'd like to think so :P) depending on how comfortable I am in a situation. I imagine that I'd interview pretty well (one-on-one) and that people that worked with me would think I'm nice but that people that met me at premieres/fan events might find me sort of cold.
Mmmm.. it depends, because I'm sometimes awkward as fuck, and large crowds give me anxiety too, but sometimes I'm so relaxed that I don't give a fuck, but that's not that common.
I've been told people think I'm fake nice so I would probably come across that way if I was a celebrity. I'd be OK with giving people autographs some of the time but if I got approached when I was tired or feeling sick, I'd probably be the biggest bitch alive.
Eh, I try not to be fake and if I don't like someone I don't really go out my way to smile/be nice to them. If I met a celeb irl, I'd like to think I'd keep it cool because they're still people too
Unless it was like the Chillis or smth and I would not know what to do but bask in their gloriousness
I think people would think I'm nice. I've met a lot of celebrities and the nice/gracious people are the ones that leave the best impression on me so I'd def want to be that person if I was famous. I think it's also easier to be famous if you're kind and not standoffish. It seems like people that run away from fans/paps always get hounded and have the worst shit said about them.
Don Lemon stays in awkward situations, given him a sitcom. Even when its not his fault..actually it is. He does sound scorned it to twitter. Its only Johnah Hill too.
I thought I had had only positive experiences, but I just remembered Robert Schwartzman and I getting into it. I guess I forget he is somewhat of a celeb.
Christina Hendricks was super sweet when I met her at the con here in Calgary years ago (pre-Mad Men) She was obviously jet lagged as fuck but her and Morena signed my DVDs and talked about how cute Ron Glass was.
Also awesome from this last year? James Marsters (who talked about how awesome it was to be on Torchwood), and Billy West and John DiMaggio, who both recorded video birthday messages for my friend and were just fucking amazing. Billy West was rocking out the voices like crazy.
Wil Wheaton was kind of a dick but I love him anyway.
XD I have to watch Futurama every night. I get into bed and watch an hour or two of Futurama. I swear I know the commentary dialogue just as well as the episode dialogue.
amy sedaris david sedaris john c. reilly conan o'brien sting kevin bacon & kyra sedgwick susan sarandon & tim robbins christine baranski matthew broderick
people say this about sjp a lot, but i know someone who has had many encounters with her and she's very shy and keeps to herself. i feel like that might give people the wrong impression of her but who knows.
matthew broderick was being super nice and she was like 'CAN WE GO NOW?' and side-eyed him for talking to me when literally all i had said was 'wow you guys are fantastic! i love your work. wargames was what made me get a computer & learn programming!'
they were also the tiniest people i have ever seen and i'm 5'10 and was wearing heels and it was really bizarre to see how miniature they were. sorry, sjp, i like mb's movies better. not a big fan of square pegs either
John C. Reilly tried to put my dog on the beach once and she barked at him. I apologized and he was really polite about it. I had to do a double take on who it was, but it was nice to know he seemed pretty chill. :)
RE: Conor....I fucking hate everyone from his scene pm except for the ones that never truly made it. By far the most insufferable group of artistes~ ever.
I remember reading something in the 90's before SATC had started about a guy that dressed as a Santa and worked at celeb parties. He said SJP was the worst person he had ever had to work with and she got really angry at him because he called her "Sarah" instead of "Miss Parker". But also, lol at Santa hating SJP.
she yelled "Conan, what are you doing here!?"
and he goes "I'm here for you!" and grabs and shakes her hand, lol
i love how your friend was like, "conan, what are you doing here?!"
I also met Cesar Milan (the dog whisperer) and he was kinda nice but in a fake way. And ridiculously tan with glowing white teeth.

okay I work at Subway and Jack Osbourne went in there and I got to make his sandwich and he was totally adorable and nice.
That's the only 'celebrity' encounter I've had.

we walked past that giant pic of Brad Pitt in union square for Chanel and he yells "Omgggg Robert Downey Junior!!"
how can you not like...recognize the most recognizable man in hollywood?
he thought today that Gwen Stefani was in One Direction.
i love him tho.
