A 3rd Season Of The Killing Still Possible On Netflix

The cable channel dropped the polarizing and marginally rated drama in July after airing two seasons. At the time, AMC called it a "difficult decision" while producer Fox Television Studios vowed to look for another home for the show.

The studio's efforts appear to have paid off. Deadline reports AMC got back on board after hearing a "strong" pitch for Season 3 from executive producer Veena Sud.

A deal isn't finalized yet, nor are details of how AMC and Netflix would share "The Killing." Deadline says AMC will probably keep rights to the first run.

The show's regular cast remains under contract, so that won't be a hurdle to restarting production.

What do you make of the news? Would you like to see more of "The Killing"?

i marathoned the whole season 1 in like two days and just looked at it like a really long murder mystery movie (which i love) so it kept me hooked wanting to know what happened. season 2 was a bit harder to watch week to week cause it is so slow, but marathoning it is the way to go!

I didn't love the first episode, but by the third I was hooked.

Me too. And honestly, I can be a harsh critic, but the episode when they looked for her son all around Seattle is one of the best stand alone episodes of any show, basically ever. DEF on my top ten list.

People don't recognize this show's moments of brilliance because they are too married to whining about how the writer sucks and that she isn't catering to their patience levels.

That episode is also one of my favorites, of any show. It is so good.

Yes! That ep was fantastic. I really love these characters. They need to strip everything else away, though. The politician, Rosie's family. Turn this shit into the X-Files! Holder and Linden!

Same. I remember watching the first season one weekend my boyfriend was gone. The first few episodes, I was online doing other shit as watched. Then, around 4, I was suddenly engrossed and neglecting everything else.
