Adam Lambert hosting 2012 VH1 Divas special featuring Jordin, Miley & more

VH1 Divas is making room for a male artist this year.

Adam Lambert has been tapped to host the 2012 edition of the series, which will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, December 16. The participants include Jordin Sparks, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Ciara.

Adam says in a statement, "I have a feeling it's going to be the most fabulous concert of the year! And LIVE!! Get ready for some amazing performances, killer fashion and fierce divas!"

This year’s VH1 Divas special will salute Whitney Houston and Donna Summer, who both died this year.

VH1 Divas will again benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

Really? More obnoxious that most of the pop stars out there? Have you never heard of Christina Aguilera or Rihanna? I think Adam gets a bad rap because he's outspoken. I never have found him ugly. He doesn't win the most liked award, but he's nowhere near being obnoxious/ugly.

I love Adam's music but it really pisses me off when people think a gay man is the same thing as a woman.
