yeah idgi either especially because none of the winners or contestants ever do anything with their careers afterwards

This! There's no denying that they have talent, but it's useless as fuck afterwards when the season is done.

I know a majority of people on X Factor end up not doing shit at the end too, but there's always 1 or 2 acts that end up being somewhat commercially successful. I can especially see that with some acts this season

mte!! lyric 145, emblem 3, fifth harmony and (i hate to say it) tate will def have some form of commercial success

we can't talk that much about the xfactor US, but xfactor UK has produced some great artists like Leona and 1D...

I can visualize several contestants from the XF US getting contracts and being successful artists.

Even Cher Lloyd is having some major success here in the US
su20 8th-Nov-2012 05:09 pm (UTC)
neither does XF US. Only XF UK produces artists lbr.

XF US has only had one season so you can't really judge from that, no one on XF UK season 1 really had a career afterwards either

I hear this guys songs on the radio plenty of times. Yeah he's not world renown and stuff, but he's getting a decent amount of publicity or someone who came in fourth place. That's honestly more than you can say for any of the winners and contestants that have been on the Voice tbh

they've only had one season though

remember Steve Brookstein....? ;)

Season 1 of AI produced Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini has a short lived career. The most talented one Tamara Gray was shafted unfortunately.

Do you honestly go out and buy the albums of your favourite contestants on these shows? Most people don't give a shit. They watch for the fun of it, not what comes after. Even on American Idol, with all of its seasons, only a small handful of them have had decent success.

and the fact that no one talks about the voice outside of the voice

Hmm...I think Dia Frampton is quite successful, I saw her last week in South Korea :D

And I mean successful not in the mainstream way, but that she found her niche :)
