I literally think I'm one of few who loves the album. Then again I liked Bionic a lot too.

I guess I'm really weird because I like Bionic and I think this one is actually worse.

No, I'm the same too. I think Bionic was progressive and Lotus is a bit regressive. If that makes sense.

I do like several songs on Lotus and I probably need to spin it a few times to really absorb it. I just don't have the immediate connection with it like I did with Bionic.

Yes, that's exactly it. My initial reaction to Bionic (which I actually bought a physical copy of), right off the bat I liked all of the upbeat songs at first listen, and for Lotus, I liked the intro and then Cease Fire and Your Body but other than that I didn't like it at all. It just seemed so generic I guess? I don't know..there just wasn't a spark at all imo.
