Josh Duggar makes his opinion of last night known.

lol no.
Needless to say, Josh Duggar has some....opinions about last nights' events. Since we had a post on Victoria Jackson, here are some of the highlights.

bless you for trying Emma. DUGGAR/TRUMP 2016!!

So what are Conservatives? Moderates with no brains?

Of course Arkansas went red, your family probably made up the entirety of one counties votes. And Amy, that's fairly easy to accomplish. Just move in with Jim Bob.

Stop trying to make Santorum happen. He's not going to happen. And doesn't your family hate catholics?

As an Iowan, this just makes me hate you more. Of course you like King. OF COURSE.

DUGGAR/TRUMP 2016! CALLING IT NOW!

I don't think even Jesus would be conservative enough for you.

Ever the Akin fanboy, eh Josh?

Mourdock too? You know, this doesn't help the rumors.

Karl Rove probably regrets a lot of life choices, but I don't think this will be one of them.

I just LOVE how these GOP's are all so confused as to how Romney lost. How in the world would minorities/young people/women NOT want their rights violated? It makes no goshdarn sense! I bet they're all sitting in their privileged white-males only private dinner club, scratching their heads.
janeeyre 8th-Nov-2012 03:30 am (UTC)
I don't get why they're butthurt. They're still rich! They need to go cry in their millions, while we're living paycheck to paycheck.

Dick.

I just told an ex-coworker off on Facebook for the first time ever (I'm not a confrontational person) for questioning why abortions are legal in Canada and posting a video of some white guy graphically and "accurately" describing the abortion procedure. Maybe I've been immersed in politics this week but I'd had enough. I'm Canadian and, in my friends circle at least, no one thinks like this! He'll probably delete me or something. No loss.

I have no idea what is going to happen to the GOP in the next four years.

But I think it's either going to completely implode on itself or it's going to completely reinvent itself.

Or maybe it'll split into factions and we'll see a new party emerge for the first time in the US in FOREVER.
twowaymirrrors 8th-Nov-2012 03:35 am (UTC)
I think they're going to break apart into the more moderate Republicans and then the far right Tea Partiers. Maybe not by 2016, but I can see it happening by 2020.
buttermell0w 8th-Nov-2012 05:25 am (UTC)
Yeah, Idk what will happen to them but if I had to say I could see this happening the most.
radwimp 8th-Nov-2012 03:40 am (UTC)
lol it's pretty incredible how ridiculous the GOP has turned. i mean, bush's party didn't seem this insane to me (as an outsider). wtf happened? palin? tea party influence?
crispy1088 8th-Nov-2012 03:48 am (UTC)
i think it will split up. Moderate, fiscal conservatives; Tea Party are going to emerge(never win an election though)
peacetrains 8th-Nov-2012 03:52 am (UTC)
I think the ones on the fringe will continue to break off and keep touting libertarianism/the tea party as the answer to everything, but I honestly have no idea what is going to happen to the moderates. I think most of them have already jumped ship and idk if they can ever bring them back with the track they're on.
psubookworm27 8th-Nov-2012 03:55 am (UTC)
It seems like (so far) everyone that's been talking from that party doesn't think they need to re-invent themselves. So, maybe they'll split? In order to get on the Republican ticket, you have to pander to the evangelical base and that doesn't serve you well in the general election because those views are backwards as fuq.
silentxstrom 8th-Nov-2012 04:56 am (UTC)
maybe they're go off to a little island in the middle of nowhere and let us have our country back since we're the only ones living in the 21st century. we can only hope.
wauwy 8th-Nov-2012 10:28 am (UTC)
My brother thinks they're going to double down on Tea Party and Religious Right shit because that's where all the enthusiasm (read: insanity borne from bigotry and fear) is. I argue that in order to survive they're going to have to evolve into an only vaguely less vomitious amalgamation of Libertarianism and Republicanism, while continuing to couch their bigotry in increasingly vague and coded language so that they can try to lure some Latinos and women into their fold.

IMO, the second possibility is the more dangerous one. But I think the former is more likely. Because they really are that stupid and out-of-touch.
theartistprince 8th-Nov-2012 03:29 pm (UTC)
I think they might split. The moderate-leaning Republicans are disillusioned. I mean, they've lost the popular vote in seven out of eight elections in a row. More people are aligning themselves with the Democratic Party. Some people were saying on CNN that studies show if you vote for a party three consecutive times then they're your party for life. People under 35 have now voted for Kerry and Obama twice so they basically lost a whole generation.
twowaymirrrors 8th-Nov-2012 03:34 am (UTC)
Obamacare is here? It already was, this isn't a new thing.

And I'd be willing to bet lots of money that I don't have this fool does not know what socialism even is.
svexsal 8th-Nov-2012 04:23 am (UTC)
I've been asking and asking my butthurt Repub family members to define and compare Socialism to what we currently have.
So far, nobody has been able to do so.
twowaymirrrors 8th-Nov-2012 04:31 am (UTC)
The few people I've asked just end up defining fascism. idek
peacetrains 8th-Nov-2012 03:34 am (UTC)
I really hope the GOP's response to losing this election is to run MORE CONSERVATIVE candidates. They are actually dumb enough to go that direction, and they will lose in 2016 for sure.
manaconda 8th-Nov-2012 03:36 am (UTC)
ugh he's just the definition of awful. if he was any more useless, the sheer force of his uselessness would probably cause a massive blackhole and kill us all.
crazyventures 8th-Nov-2012 03:36 am (UTC)
Please do run that fucking dickhead. We've seen how much America loved far-right politics and pro-lifers last night. Focusing on old white people WORKED SO WELL FOR YOU ALL

The problem wasn't that Romney was too moderate. The problem was that he was too conservative.
thedorkygirl 8th-Nov-2012 03:38 am (UTC)
Extreme conservative.
celtic_thistle 8th-Nov-2012 03:40 am (UTC)
ikr, how can anyone look at the fact that the GOP lost women, POC, and young people and be like "yup, we need to be even MORE conservative!" DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.
