The writer for tonights Supernatural always writes such awful episodes. They hired him in season 6 and I don't know why they still keep him around, I don't think I've liked one of his episodes yet

Dean saying all that stuff to Sam nearly made me cry, but I don't think he meant it. And I'm really glad Sam finally called him out on his shit, and I hope he kills Benny. (I love him, but still.)

The way the writers are writing Sam this season is going to kill me. There is literally nothing they could possibly do (besides a complete mental breakdown/physical incapability) to make me believe that SAM WINCHESTER would not even bother looking for his brother. I'm so sick of this because it's so out of character it's stupid.
I love Supernatural and I will stick with it even if it has another nine seasons, but jesus christ these people need to look at their own canon for five minutes.

I dont know, I kind of believe it. He didnt bother bugging him after he was thrown into the hell hole or the box or whatever for that year he was with Lisa. Last time Dean disappeared, Sam knew he was in Hell and tried to get him out. This time, Dean just went poof. Where was Sam supposed to look? Where would he even start?
What doesnt make sense is his complete lack of concern for Kevin, but I dont blame him for not searching forever for Dean.
He didn't have to search forever. After finding no leads, I understand. But he would have at least tried to figure it out. He would do SOMETHING, not flap his hands around about a girl and try to be normal.
The ONLY reason Dean didn't try to get Sam out was because they had agreed beforehand. They spent an entire season with Dean bitching and arguing about it before finally conceding and fulfilling Sam's wish at the end. Different situation.
it was pointed out to me by somebody on tumblr that since dean just went poof, sam didn't know if dean had died, or was just transported somewhere else on earth or what. sam might have thought dean had died and went to heaven. i don't think he'd have an easy time trying to find any of that out either.

Urgh I know. I know he got a lot of hate in season 4, but I could still understand why he was making the choices he was, even though they were obviously the wrong ones and it was painful to watch. But this is just like pod!Sam who seems to not care about his brother at all, like at least throw in some explanation like he figured out that Dean was in purgatory and made the tough choice of not doing any more deals or opening the gates after all the screwed-up consequences they've had in the past. But instead we're meant to believe that Sam didn't look for Dean at all. Lol okay
Why does Sam want to kill Benny so badly? Sam was the one who pushed to let Lenore go (with Benny when he was Eli, actually), and Benny isn't eating people (that they know of, at least). He's just being an asshole. And the Sam flashbacks were really fucking boring.
Tbh I think it's way less about Benny himself and more about Sam's frustration with life in general, and also the grudge he's still holding about Dean killing Amy last year.
This episode made me love Garth even more! Was anyone else having the epic S4 bro-fight flashbacks with the big fight this episode? Man, Dean was scaring me and poor Sam man...

He plays the head of the mafia group that Ollie's taking down. Yes, he is fabulous but I thought he could be a little more evil? *shrug* Or maybe he's going for "I'm so badass I don't even need to show emotion when I send an assassin after Green Arrow".
