I haven't seen the movie but the Christina Ricci/ Rosie pairing isn't bad at all also the former is SUCH an underrated actress.

Um, no. Christina's character was an athletic tomboy - in the movie's context, it didn't fit at all.

not just that- roberta was the fiesty, beat your ass type girl when she was younger and then her older version was just suddenly like the funny and chill one- they were always the worst fit to me

I disagree, she's an athletic tomboy who feels self conscious about her developing body which tends to make some girls hide their boobs with weight.

if I could tell you how many of the "athletic" people in my high school are now overweight. It's only been 10 years and some of them are extreme.

Facebook is amazing for making me feel better about not being perfect like them in high school.

I always thought it was odd pairing because Christina's character was so athletic that for her to be bigger in adult life didn't fit her character. I know that might sound bad, but that's what I thought when I first saw it was I was ten. I was shallow.

i always thought it was a weird casting when i was a kid but i guess plenty of skinny kids turn out to be fat women as adults. It confused me when I was little though bc I thought rosie shoulda been the chubby girl's adult self lol

It worked somewhat, but it was odd to me that she didn't grow up to at least be pretty. It's not her weight, but her not being pretty that got me. She did well personality wise, though. That's all that matters.
