Election Day: Stars Get Out the Vote on Twitter

It’s Election Day — and celebrities want all Americans to celebrate.

As President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney tirelessly rallied support on the campaign trail in recent months, many high-profile Hollywood names — from George Clooney to Eva Longoria to Clint Eastwood — stumped for their candidate from coast-to-coast.

And now that decision day is here, they and many others in Tinseltown are taking to Twitter to get out the vote. From pushing Americans to make their voices matter to sharing sites for polling information, politically minded stars are encouraging voters to take part in the democratic process.

They’re not just talking the talk — stars are voting, too, and sharing their experiences and polling-booth snaps on Twitter.

i just want this shit to be over I am exhausted and tired of people. And what's with this if you post your ballot online it is invalid shit ?
vidriodeperlas 6th-Nov-2012 11:03 pm (UTC)
it's bullshit lol

it's illegal in like 2 states, but it's not something anyone would ever get prosecuted for/get the vote thrown out.

Donnie Wahlberg: Whether Obama or Romney wins, I hope our next president will be a bipartisan one who will get things done w out excuses or blame. #USA #VOTE

ugh enough of this ~*bipartisan*~ shit. democrats have bend over backwards for a bunch of delusional assholes who want to turn this country back to the dark ages. i'm fully throwing my support behind obama because women's rights haven't been on the table, but he's (and democrats) been letting the tea party get their way with corporations and destroying our environment.

Nervous about the results, my state is a mix of blue and red. Nhf for Romney.

I'm just kind of loling at people who are in my state voting for Romney because he's going to save coal? Mk, I kind of want to doubt that.

I love that Washington state has a thing where you enter your name and birthdate and you can tell if your ballot has been received.

GOING AFTER ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
onyxobsidian 6th-Nov-2012 11:02 pm (UTC)
My mom voted, my dad didn't, my sister didn't, my best friend didn't :/

Out of all of this, the only surprise is that my mom actually voted.

WA has mail-in only votes, right? What do you do if you haven't voted by election day? Do you drive your vote to certain locations?
reidacted 6th-Nov-2012 11:08 pm (UTC)

mynamehere07 6th-Nov-2012 11:05 pm (UTC)
ugh. She's such a moron. Today on the View she was saying that she had to explain to her kids why Ohio was important. She said it was because it has soooooooo many electoral votes. Bawa did the "oh honey" hand on the shoulder and told her why Ohio was important.

I'm going to bed. Wake me up when they announce who won.
