Christian Bale for 'Dark Knight' Wally Pfister's 'Transcendence'?

Christian Bale is being considered for a role in Wally Pfister's Transcendence.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the actor would play one of three leading roles in the film from The Dark Knight Rises cinematographer Pfister.

Johnny Depp will reportedly star in the drama from Christopher Nolan's long-time collaborator, the plot of which is being kept tightly under wraps.

Prior to Rises, Pfister served as cinematographer on three other films starring Bale - 2005's Batman Begins, 2006's The Prestige and 2008's The Dark Knight.

Transcendence is set to film in Los Angeles, with production beginning in mid-winter.

Pfister recently drew criticism when he dubbed Joss Whedon's The Avengers "an appalling film".

I hadn't heard about this, but I'm on board for as many Bale movies out there. I wonder if it will be weird for him and Johnny Depp to act together since they apparently didn't get along during Public Enemies. Has anyone heard something about this movie?
