EXCLUSIVE WILL SWEENY: HARRY STYLES HID IN MY CAR WHILE GIRLS CHASED US LIKE ZOMBIES
Life’s got to be just that little bit more exciting when your best mate is Harry Styles and he’s in that band One Direction.
We had a chat with Will Sweeny, Harry’s best mate from school, who told us about what Hazza has to go through just when he wants to leave his house...
"Right, we wanted to leave the house. I was dropping him off to get his car because he can’t park his car in his own drive – if he does then people know he’s there and mob the house, so he had to park it somewhere else, so I was dropping him off to get it. I had a Classic Mini at the time, so it’s really hard to hide because it’s really loud and full of spotlights and stuff.
“I parked it round the back of his house, and some of these girls were there. There were about 20 – 30 out the front, and five or six loitering around the back entrance. His step-dad Robin said that he was more than happy for them to stand about out the front but not really the back, so they went off. So when they walked off I said 'Harry, dive in the footwell!' so he did. I covered him with three coats – I don’t know why I had three coats in my car but I did – so he just looked like a pile of coats.
“I pulled out and drove towards this T junction about 50 metres past his house. All the girls looked and saw the car, and they instantly were suspicious. It was funny, I’m nobody and they’d never seen the car before.
“Harry said to me to let him know when they were gone, so I pretended to drive off but drove really slowly… drove past them and slowed down, I said ‘Oh Harry they’ve all gone’ and we were literally right next to them. So Harry pulled the coats off him and sat up and they all just started grabbing at the car! It was funny. They were all running down the street after us."
Were they like zombies?
"Yeah it was funny. It was a good job because there were traffic lights by his house, and I thought if they go red we’re stuffed, so I had to go through on kind of just-before-red-amber. But otherwise we would have been mobbed, it was weird seeing these girls running up the road… but I thought it was absolutely hilarious to see his face when he came out of the coats and saw all the girls clambering at his windows."
Did Hazza get annoyed?
"No he thought it was funny, it was all just a joke."

After all sorts of rumours about an alleged affair with One Direction's Harry Styles, radio DJ Lucy Horobin's husband has spoken out about the romance that he says led to the end of their marriage.
It's not the first time he's spoken up, but estranged husband Oliver Pope reckons that the pair were involved before he and Lucy officially broke up.
“The moment I discovered Harry had slept with my wife still haunts me," Oliver told the Sunday Mirror. "Knowing they slept together and then Lucy came back home and climbed into bed with me hurts the most.
“Realising my wife had decided to leave me because she had fallen for a 17-year-old boy, that’s the most embarrassing thing.
Although he and Lucy had actually split up before the dalliance apparently took place, Oliver believes the pair exchanged flirty messages while they were still together.
“We were still living together in the same house. At that point, in the same bed. She was wearing a wedding ring the first time they met.
"We had a weekend away in Brighton and Lucy was really quiet and texting the whole time. I didn’t know who she was messaging but I have since found out it was Harry," he continued.
“Then on the Wednesday she told me she didn’t want to be with me any more. Just like that, out of the blue, she said she no longer loved me.
“Days later Lucy went to a friend’s party. She texted me to say she was staying on her mate’s sofa and wouldn’t be coming home, then changed her mind. A couple of hours later she got into bed with me.
“It gave me a glimmer of hope. But I’ve now discovered that’s the first night she slept with Harry. She booked herself into a posh hotel in Manchester.
“He visited her around 2am. Then she came back to our bed. It’s disgusting.”
“A couple of weeks before she finished with me she said she liked my hair long because it went curly like Harry Styles’. Now that is such a horrible thought. Lucy said she didn’t leave me for Harry, but she did.
“As far as I know they were only together a couple of times,” he said. “I think he probably just brushed her off. It’s not likely she was the only woman he was with at the time."
