A shabbily dressed and bleary eyed Al Pacino greets fans outside theatre.

He's one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, and he's known for immersing himself into his roles.

And you'd be forgiven for thinking Al Pacino's next character was a tramp after the 72-year-old actor stepped out to greet fans in a very dressed down outfit.

The screen legend greeted fans outside New York's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre after finishing a performance of Glengarry Glen Ross.

And his adoring fans got more than they bargained for.

Pacino appeared with unkempt hair and sported a unusual look - comprising of a thin scarf to resemble a tie, a plunging neckline top, scruffy jacket and crumpled trousers.

He also appeared bleary eyed as he signed autographs.

Not that the crowd cared about his look - they seemed overjoyed by the kind-hearted gesture from the Oscar winning actor.

According to Deadline. Al Pacino to set to play an ageing rocker who decides to change his ways after discovering a letter by John Lennon to his 19-year-old self.

The drama, which is entitled Imagine, will also star Jeremy Renner.

The Avengers star will play Pacino's estranged son, while Julianne Moore stars as the owner of a hotel that the main character moves into for spiritual enlightenment.

Screenwriter Dan Fogelman said: 'Every writer has 'that one project' … the one they feel so strongly about that they can't bear to turn it over to anyone else.

''For me, that project is Imagine. It was a career highlight simply to get a script of mine into Al Pacino's hands.

'To have him read it, and then want to star in it – it's five steps past career highlight. And now, to have Julianne Moore and Jeremy join the fray … it's beyond my wildest dreams.

He added: 'I've been hiding in my house for the past few weeks out of fear that someone would pinch me. We are going to make a very special film here.'

Filming is expected to begin shooting on Imagine early next year.

"Like Glen and Garry suck Ross's meaty cock and drop their hairy nuts into his eager mouth."
"That like a sequel?"
