Unless he's going with the "I didn't even know it was offensive" argument which also looks immature IMO because of course he knew, so he should admit that he knew.
As a black woman I am going to say again that this type of costume is not racist. For goodness sake..

I'm glad we have an authority here, I was unsure what I should think
Yes how dare I who has experienced real racism and its consequences be considered an interested party when someone is assumed to be racist.
good for you but nope
well, AS AN INDIAN WOMAN, THIS COSTUME IS RACIST.
Have several sits, plz. I did not elect you to speak on my behalf.
Ooops no, this kind of racism only applies if you're white.
Whether you think it's harmless or not, why is it so hard for people like you to understand there is an uncomfortable racist implication when white people do this? Even if both times Colton thought this was just a way to pay tribute to his idols or whatever, that it's still an ignorant thing to do!
It simply isn't the same thing at all. If white people were historically oppressed, enslaved by black people and black people used white face as a way to make people less than human (and turn them into caricatures) than we can have a conversation how it's offensive both ways.
How is this such a hard concept to grasp? Colton may not be evil but it's a stupid thing to do not only once but twice! People have a right to give him the side eye for it...why am I explaining this...this will most likey go right over your head.
.....oh.
Ooops no, this kind of racism only applies if you're white.
Do you seriously see white people as the victims here? Sorry but LMAO.

They don't understand and REFUSE to believe that colouring their skin to a different colour (so that their friends can have a fucking laugh) is not racist.
fuck people like him, and fuck the people who support his costume choices
The practice has a deeply racist history that it's not ever going to escape (nor should it - when is blackface ever going to be a necessary or fun thing?) so of course it's got racist connotations and racist by default.
Intent doesn't matter. The fact that it's 'only a halloween costume' doesn't matter.
It's offensive. PERIOD.
FUCKING WHITE RACIST!!!11
