Safe Haven Trailer

Here is the latest Nicholas Sparks joint for all you lovebirds and aspiring lovebirds that are currently lonelybirds. This one is about how (if you look great in a bathing suit) love trumps all, including Boston-area crimes. Julianne Hough plays a runaway criminal who hates free bikes but loves canoes and Josh Duhamel's casual dad haircut. J-Duh plays a widower who loves Hough so much that he doesn't care that she murdered a Red Sox pitcher or whatever mysterious thing she did. It's all in the hands of director Lasse Hallstrom (The Cider House Rules, Chocolat), who also did the Nicholas Sparks–Channing Tatum movie Dear John.

So which one dies?
ditiswritten 24th-Oct-2012 05:00 pm (UTC)
came in to ask the same thing. lol
anolinde 24th-Oct-2012 05:12 pm (UTC)
I think the cancer victim is the guy's first wife, lol.
reach_the_end 24th-Oct-2012 09:31 pm (UTC)
Her semi ex husband dies at the end.
fauxparadiso 24th-Oct-2012 04:50 pm (UTC)
lol nobodies.

But this will probably still have a big box office because it's another white bread tragic couple by Nicholas Sparks.
xtinkerbellax 24th-Oct-2012 04:52 pm (UTC)
His movies are almost as bad as Jodi Picoult adaptions for Lifetime.
georgiana08 24th-Oct-2012 04:53 pm (UTC)
I'm getting Sleeping With the Enemy vibes, but this is Nicholas Sparks so I know one of them more than likely dies.

Love the song in the trailer though.
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 04:54 pm (UTC)
They all die
georgiana08 24th-Oct-2012 05:14 pm (UTC)
I would probably like his movies more if that were true.
britaloonie 24th-Oct-2012 05:22 pm (UTC)
Nah, this director didn't kill anyone in Dear John so I think he'll probably stick around and continue not killing people
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 04:53 pm (UTC)

WHAT. A BOAT SCENE AND PLAYING IN THE RAIN?! THAT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN THE NOTEBOOK IN EVERY WAY

dizzylizzybsb 24th-Oct-2012 05:56 pm (UTC)
the worst part about the canoe scene is that it's not even in the book which pisses me off because they are totally ripping off the Notebook!
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 06:06 pm (UTC)
LMAO. It even looks like the same god damn place
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 04:54 pm (UTC)
Leo whyyyyy

I'm not looking forward to the wave of people asking for this book at the library
khloekardashian 24th-Oct-2012 04:57 pm (UTC)
it seems like no one dies in this one... maybe i'll see it.
britaloonie 24th-Oct-2012 06:45 pm (UTC)
it's sparks. death always
summerstar882 24th-Oct-2012 05:01 pm (UTC)
Do all his novels take place on small coastal towns?
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 05:06 pm (UTC)
Pretty much
dizzylizzybsb 24th-Oct-2012 05:43 pm (UTC)
Yes and all in North Carolina.
okay_awesome 24th-Oct-2012 05:01 pm (UTC)
I wish Julianne Hough would stop trying.

I did get curious and read spoilers from the book tho lol
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 05:06 pm (UTC)
Who dies?
okay_awesome 24th-Oct-2012 05:33 pm (UTC)
I don't think anyone dies. She was abused by her husband so she was running away from him. Cobie Smulders character is imaginary tho
britaloonie 24th-Oct-2012 05:48 pm (UTC)
the abusive ex husband
ditiswritten 24th-Oct-2012 05:06 pm (UTC)
spoil me please.
oblivious_frog 24th-Oct-2012 05:02 pm (UTC)
I love how we're all on the same page that someone dies.

fauxparadiso 24th-Oct-2012 05:04 pm (UTC)
Well we all know his creativity has been long dead.
cluelessraf 24th-Oct-2012 05:05 pm (UTC)
Is this the girl he cheated on Fergie with?
britaloonie 24th-Oct-2012 06:48 pm (UTC)
no, that was a stripper
ditiswritten 24th-Oct-2012 06:59 pm (UTC)
I don't know why this made me laugh out loud, but it did. I am a horrible person.

Can I just skip to the last part?
crazyfreakyaj Re: Oblig25th-Oct-2012 02:05 am (UTC)
I think this is utterly hilarious. The Notebook is a flawless romance movie though. I think it's beautifully done... but I automatically love anything Rachel McAdams does. So perhaps I am biased, but I can hate on all his adaptations but The Notebook.
ditiswritten 24th-Oct-2012 05:08 pm (UTC)
can't believe I liked his books in high school. luckily by the fourth one I realized they were all the same.
muahlovekiss 25th-Oct-2012 01:21 am (UTC)
Same here. I will always love AWTR book and movie- that was my shit for so long. But I stopped buying his books (or reading for that matter) after three. I just couldnt. (Plus he made an announcement for AWTR sequel and shit still hasnt been released five years later.)

It's all the same- pretty predictable.

They meet, they love, there is usually a sex scene, something happens, death.
larrylurker 24th-Oct-2012 05:20 pm (UTC)
lol do all of these Sparks' movies have a moment where the guy lifts the girl up and the girl has to wrap her legs around him?
advo 24th-Oct-2012 05:22 pm (UTC)
LOL, why does Josh always get paired up with short ladies?
cuteej4 24th-Oct-2012 05:33 pm (UTC)
Because he's really tall
miss_cassie 24th-Oct-2012 05:34 pm (UTC)
Katherine Heigl was tall...his best pairing IMO
advo 24th-Oct-2012 07:01 pm (UTC)
I rather dislike her so I disagree. His best pairing was with Rebecca Budig. They made such a freaking cute couple.
ditiswritten 24th-Oct-2012 07:06 pm (UTC)
at least it's not SJP like in New Years Eve. weirdest couple ever.
