The Vampire Diaries season 4 has now introduced Todd Williams as the vampire hunter Connor, and something oh-so-intriguing about him is the tattoo on his arm that Jeremy could see but Matt couldn't. What's the deal with that?
Vampire Diaries Season 4 Spoilers
According to E! Online, "the invisible tattoo is a map of sorts," and the reason he can see it is not because he can see ghosts. However, they also said that it "is no coincidence" the same design is part of Jeremy's holy card, as seen below. That same design is also part of the sword Alexander (Paul Telfer) holds in the promotional photo from "The Five" below. Alexander is a vampire hunter from the 1100s, but how are they all connected? How is Jeremy connected to them? Jeremy has to be on Connor's radar now because he can see the tattoo, but it seems like even Jeremy doesn't quite know what's going on since he just assumed everyone could see it. Will he come to wish he had never said anything to Connor?
The Vampire Diaries season 4 is going to see Connor offer to train Jeremy, but given his sister is now a vampire, that doesn't seem likely to go over so well. Still, there are a few questions surrounding Connor, and now included in that is what exactly that tattoo is a map of. Why is it etched into the bullets Connor uses? Why does it burn to the touch? How much does Connor know about hunting? Hopefully they give some of those answers soon, and even though it's hard not to worry about what Connor sticking around means for the residents of Mystic Falls, at the same time, it's hard not to be intrigued and excited for what's coming up next with him.

I'd like to think that something interesting will actually result from this Hunter plot line. Everyone loves a centuries old cult. What's the atheist equivalent of a prayer circle?
