There is excitement in the house and village as the annual cricket match approaches, and it brings out Robert’s competitive side. [Oh. We all thought this was going to happen during the Christmas special, but uh, apparently not.]
As Violet’s great niece Rose arrives, a trip to London reveals there is more to her than meets the eye. [Huh. I'm actually intrigued by this bit. Any ideas what this could mean?]
Thomas’s future is in Carson’s hands, but Bates may be an unlikely ally. [I am SO here for the "three valets but only two men who need them" plot. I bet it'll end with Thomas being Matthew's valet and Molesley going back to butler for Mrs. Crawley/]
What secrets are Mary and Matthew holding back from each other? [This makes me really anxious! I bet that Dr. Clarkson has told her that it's unlikely that she'll have children. Or maybe she had a miscarriage and didn't tell anyone? IDK IDK. I DEFINITELY BET IT IS RELATED TO BABIES THOUGH.]

Loving Matthew this episode and in the future, he needs to take control. I think I will start stanning Mary is she drops team Robert and goes on Team Cora. Also, could Cora be any sassier? So in love with her character.

Thomas obviously thinks Jimmy is into him and I am sure O'Brien is going to manipulate the situation even more. I think the minute Jimmy shows how not interested/disgusted he is Thomas will back off.
And then everything will go to hell
I just know everyone's going to get fucked up except Bates and Robert. (a Bates/Thomas "friendship" might make Bates interesting though)
I just want Edith, Mary, Cora, and Thomas to be happy - WHY CAN'T THEY BE HAPPY?
What I especially liked was how much Robert was called out on his behaviour - it has made the character more bearable for me. And I like how they're slowing showing the changes of the time, all the little touches of that kitchen maid wearing rouge~ etc. Let's get the ladies some empowering moments! Go Edith!
