Mass Effect 4 is a game everyone knows it coming, but what exactly it will consist of no one has known until some information was revealed today.
According to a report from VG24/7 today, BioWare Montreal producer Fabrice Condominas said the trilogy is over and that means there will be no more Captain Shepard.
"There is one thing we are absolutely sure of – there will be no more Shepard, and the trilogy is over.
"This is really our starting point. Now the Mass Effect universe is vast, and very, very rich. So at this point in time, we don’t even know what kind of time frame we’re going to be in.
"All we’re doing is more gathering ideas from the teams, gathering feedback to see several things.
"So first, we don’t want to make ‘Shepard 2′, or Mass Effect 4 with like, ‘oh there’s no more Shepard but you’re a soldier in the universe’. So this will be a very, very different context for sure, and nothing has been decided on the rest," Condominas said.
This is an interesting piece of news to learn as now it seems like Mass Effect could really be beginning an entire new trilogy since its main protagonist will not be featured in the next installment.
Could this series be heading in the direction that Halo is currently headed in? Will there be an entirely different, second trilogy in the Mass Effect series?

Because if you make the main character human again, there's no way it won't be compared to Shepard somehow.
...Though I'll probably be thirsty for it as the date gets closer lol. Still kinda dnw.
cyberpunk 2077, for anyone who's been keeping up with that, looks rlly good though. cd projekt red have my total trust after the fabulosity that was the witcher 2.

I'm still mad about how they centered the ending based solely on a premise that was faulty/disproved by events setup in the game.
I might play this, but I have a hard time wanting to pick up the first three games considering just how it all seems to go nowhere at the end.
Also, LOL Captain Shepard.

I like the ME universe, and there are def more stories to be told, but after the mess of the third game, and everything else Bioware has done lately, I just...I don't know.
And please, god, let hus have alien PCs
Oh crap, I'm getting tears in my eyes again.
Synthesis was Saren's choice, so I don't see why Shepard (who fought Saren) would do a 360 and pick this option in the end.
I prefered the options I was given in Deus Ex Human revolution.
Well shit, now I'm all excited.
Zaeed >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kaidan tbh lbr. I don't want to hear about migraines and orchards in Canada from my love interests, I want you to pick up a gun and blow somebody's face off, damn it.
I don't understand why people act like this series is the second coming lol
I only like RPGs that are JRPGs though, maybe that's why I couldn't get into it
Screw Final Fantasy and all those other games (although they are good) because nothing compares to ME. If you play a bit more through each game you understand how much of an impact. It's all about choice.
