For Christopher Kennedy Lawford Taylor Swift is helping Connor Kennedy get over his mom's suicide

Singer Taylor Swift is fast gaining approval from the revered family of her new love, Conor Kennedy.
His half-sister and one of their cousins have weighed in on the 18-year-old's budding relationship with the 22-year-old superstar - and have given them their blessings.
'Whatever makes Conor happy makes me happy,' his half-sister, aspiring actress Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy, told New York Magazine. 'I love Taylor; they're pretty cute together.'
Their cousin, author Christopher Lawford, added that if the relationship, which began this summer, is helping the youngster get over the suicide of his mother, then he is all for it.

'Mary Richardson was a big-hearted individual who cared deeply for her kids and they’ve suffered greatly for her not being there,' Lawford told Inside Track.
'So whatever Conor has to do to comfort himself, he should do it as long as they are both happy and healthy... and left alone.'
Lawford, whose mother Pat Kennedy was sister to President John F. Kennedy, added that Conor's father, Bobby Kennedy Jr., 'has always been a great father to his kids'.

He added that Bobby has spent 'a lot of time' with his four children since Mary hanged herself in May.
'If that kid needs any help, he will get it,' Lawford, a former soap actor and New York Times bestselling author, added to the Track.
It comes after former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy, speaking to TMZ, gave his blessing to the pair.

Tragic: Conor is pictured in 2009 with his mother, who was found hanged in May after battling depression

'We love Taylor Swift,' he said. 'She's been a great friend and we're happy for Conor. If she wants to be in the family, she's already a part of it.'
Taylor - famed for writing songs about her romances with other celebrities - has been seen out with Conor numerous times over the last few months, even accompanying him to visit his mother's grave.
She also missed him so much after having to leave him in Massachusetts to go to Nashville she chartered a private jet so he could visit.
Mary Kennedy, 52, hanged herself in May in a barn by the couple's Westchester County home amid bitter divorce proceedings after he won temporary custody of their children.
Since RFK Jr. filed for divorce two years ago, she had battled against drug and alcohol addiction. An autopsy report showed she had antidepressants in her system when she died.

Support: Conor's half-sister Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy, left, and his cousin Christopher Kennedy Lawford, right, have voiced their support for the relationship and how it will help Conor with his mother's death

After her death, her estranged husband outraged her family by moving her remains to Cape Cod against their wishes.
Her relatives did not attend the funeral he organised in Bedford, New York, where they had lived. After her burial, her family organised a private tribute to her in Manhattan.
In spite of the support Taylor Swift is offering her boyfriend amid the family drama, RFK Jr. has stepped in, concerned his son has been neglecting his studies because of his romance.
A source told the National Enquirer: 'Trouble started when Conor went back to school in Deerfield, Mass, a few weeks ago.'
'Taylor not only visited him for a romantic weekend, she started texting, phoning, and e-mailing love notes 24/7.'
RFK allegedly wants his son focusing on school work as he preps for admittance to an Ivy League college and has warned Conor he won’t allow Taylor to be a distraction.
