Justin Bieber set a new Vevo record with his and Nicki Minaj's video: 10.6 million views in 24 hours.

didn't say that he did anything like that, but i think it'd be disingenuous to say that interest in his video wasn't spiked from the rumored scandal. a lot of people on ontd weren't aware that he had given up the facade and were all gung-ho to see what was up, lmao.

the only reason this particular case is getting publicity is because of the TT the fans started, he's met with sick fans every stop of the tour so far

He only publicizes this stuff when an outside source has tipped him to it, like in this case it was a twitter TT that brought her to his attention, or in Vancouver a local news station hooked him up with a boy with Downs. Otherwise he's really low-key about it - it only just came out through fan stories (M&Gs being pushed back 20 minutes because Justin was spending extra time at the hospital, etc) that he's been meeting with Make-A-Wish kids at every city on his tour, for example.
