I really felt great empathy for her last season when she knew what she was doing but everyone just looked like her like she was crazy until she finally believed she was crazy so that last scene today,
As soon as Saul said "I came straight here, because you deserve to see it first", I started ugly crying. Carrie + Saul are my OTP, but in a totally platonic, nonsexified way. I just want them to live together forever and end terrorism.
I couldn't see it completely since people came knocking when Brody was in the woods talking to Jessica. I'M DYING TO WATCH IT COMPLETELY. That last scene, my god Saul I adore you. I do. Please don't be the mole, please.
Btw, how can I make it so I get emails whenever someone uses the Homeland tag? I forgot how to do it lol.
I just started watching this season and it's so good. I felt so bad for Carrie and then so happy when Saul came with the evidence of her being right.
I really like Jessica, but that could be my bias because I love Morena Baccarin, but she's putting up with a lot of shit. Why'd she stay with Brody after he fucked Carrie? For the kids?
I felt embarrassed for both Carrie and Jessica too much in this ep. It made me uncomfortable.
Jessica gets a lot of crap for being sort of...the typical cheerleader all grown up. There's not a lot of depth to her but that's why I think she's interesting on this show.
She felt incredibly guilty about her relationship with Mike. Brody fucking Carrie was like, "okay, we're 'even' now".
Not really obvs, Jessica thought she was a widow & Brody had no such excuse, but I can see how Jessica's guilt would make her feel like she didn't have the moral high ground to attack Brody over his adultery.
I've been rewatching Season One over the past couple of days, and I'm beginning to think Estes is the mole.
In The Good Soldier, when Carrie's rewinding the footage of the fight between Brody and the terrorist whose name I can't remember, Estes is in the background. You can clearly see him stick his hand in his pocket, and then touch underneath the table. I think he gave the guy the razor blade.
Also, the Saudi diplomat told Brody that Nazir believed Brody was going to be asked to run for office. Estes is pretty close with the VP, so he'd have heard something like that, wouldn't he?
Then there's the combination to his safe - how would anyone have gotten that? And why on earth would he leave his office while someone was in there, even if that someone is a Senator?
I'm probably way off base. I'VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS TOO MUCH, I NEED TO SLEEP.
That sounds right. I think it would be cheap and do a lot of damage to the framework of the show if Saul was the mole, but I wouldn't be surprised if he had a different agenda that we don't know about yet.
Now that would be so much better than it being Saul. Question is, did he turn to redeem himself for the attack where Isa died? I need more from this show, I'm addicted.
the only problem i would have w/ that is, why would brody be told to brake into estes own safe if he's the mole? like estes could just tell his contacts the locations and thats it.
See I had thought Estes was for sure the mole til last week, but maybe Estes is only be responsible for giving them certain info? Like each person has a very small role to fulfill in the operation so if they are found out they won't be able to give everyone else up.
But we saw this season that moles don't know who are the others. I wouldn't be surprised if Estes is in liaison with Nazir or another intermediary (like the journalist), and not knowing about Brody or the tailor.
It would be smarter to do for Abu Nazir, as keeping people in the dark avoids any complications in case one of them is caught.
I used to think Saul was the mole, but why would he share the video to Carrie and then Estes (as seen in the teaser)?
I've thought Estes was the mole because of the hand in the pocket thing. He's also way too (seemingly) dumb to be the second in command at an intelligence agency.

the night of the big wounded warriors speech, brody gets a mission from that middle eastern lady that he needs to find the tailor that made the bomb vest last season and take him to a safe house (apparently the tailor has been found out or w/e) so the cia dosent find him. Brody finds the tailor, they drive to the safe house but they get a flat tire. The tailor is tempted to kill brody with a crowbar while hes fixing the tire but dosent. They fix the tire, get gas, and while brody is paying for gas the tailor runs off. Brody chases the tailor in the woods and accidentally kills him basically (brody tackles the tailor, and he lands on a sharp object), the tailor dies.
MEANWHILE, brody is blowing off this marine event, so Jessica wings a speech in his place and everyone loves it. Brody comes home and is very vague/lies badly about why he didnt make the dinner, and jessica is basically like "i know you're lying about something, and it better stop otherwise this marriage is over"
MEANWHILE AGAIN, carrie was told she would be involved in the debrief for her trip to berute (sp?), but then Estees is basically like NO! So carries leaves her sisters house to start living in her house again. She gets depressed, overdoses on pills, but then throws them up. Saul goes to carries house right from the airport and is like "watch this video" and its the video brody made in season 1, and saul is like "you were right carrie" and carrie starts crying. end credits
I'm so proud of Carrie. She was right all along, and now finally, everyone will know.

The last scene was everything.

Next week looks really good.

Also I need icons. Someone needs to get on that asap

God, Claire, go get that Emmy. I think she deserves it already for this season even more than she did for last. The female Bryan Cranston. Seriously.
Oh and Jessica is way too good for Brody. Please divorce him. But don't go back to Mike. Go find some single congressman who needs a wife!

Things I love most about Homeland:
Claire's acting
Carrie and Saul's relationship
Brody's ass
Danny's inability to keep CIA shit to himself lol
My household went over the bandwidth allotment for the month and I can't stream anything until this Thursday but I need to know what happensssss

Couldn't have cared less about Brody's story though, which is unusual.
