So far all we know about the third season of BBC’s Sherlock are three words: “Rat. Wedding. Bow.” It’s not much to go on, but it’s plenty to get excited about.
It turns out that not even the actors involved — or those that could be involved — know what’s going to be happening in the hit drama’s next three episodes.
“I have no idea,” Lara Pulver, who played Irene Adler in the first episode of Season 2, told reporters at New York Comic Con before she burst out laughing. “We start shooting in January, Season 3. They’re writing the episodes — three episodes — as we speak. I have no idea if she’ll stay as a one-episode wonder or whether she’ll return for the final season.”
“A Scandal in Belgravia” was nominated for an Emmy, but ended up losing to HBO’s Game Change. Pulver said that, in this case, she expected the overwhelmingly positive response to the episode and her character.
“It’s the first time I’ve then watched something and it’s exceeded my expectation of what the finished product is. And that’s not me being a pessimistic kind of actor who’s like, ‘Oh, God, I don’t know why I did that.’ I’m talking visually, the story; it just worked so well,” said the actress, who was at the convention to promote the new Starz drama Da Vinci’s Demons. “The relationship between Benedict [Cumberbatch] and I just seemed to work really well, and it was fun from the get-go. We had so much fun, so it was an absolute pleasure to do that job, and it was a gift of a role.”

Lara Pulver Talks Sherlock Season 3 (Sort Of)

I predict a lot of tumblr mass suicides
Benedict said something in an interview about how he was done with TV after Parade's End. I've no idea if he was joking because I honestly cannot tell in print when he is just joking or being a prick.
it's not nearly good enough for the people behind it to be even half as arrogant and full of themselves as they come across or to behave as if they're entitled to awards and a following abroad
and Lara hasn't said anything douchey yet so idk.
Also, I 'hope' the wedding is John to Mary. Because I think John deserves some happiness. But tumblr would hate that and scratch that off the list.
At least we got three seasons out of this! It was a fun ride.
i wouldn't want mary :/
she'll be shoved aside like all the other women soooooooooo nope.
Plz. Don't bring Irene back.
Or Sherlock.
Or John.
The show could just be about Molly, Mrs. Hudson and Lestrade.
I'd watch that.
mrs hudson should be the matchmaker of lestrade and molly and the show should be about them solving crimes
They could set it during the "great hiatus" and they could get someone other than Steve Moffat to write it and it would be awesome.
make this happen
lbr
<3 <3
And considering she said "we", I am assuming she's actually in the next season and I am so nhft.

I love the fuck out of canon Irene, but I really loathe BBC Irene. Loathe her. More than any other character on that damn show, barring the criminals.
And honestly, I can't sit through another Irene episode where she's like she was in Scandal. So if she is in another episode, I'll be skipping it until someone reviews it so I can see what she's like. And then I'll skip it if it's like Scandal.

I thought the ending was not only contradictory to Irene's character but to Sherlock's as well. They spent the whole first season portraying him as someone who develops his relationships through seeing how well someone does their job(I guess that's how I want to say that.). You have Lestrade who really is a good detective, and he respects that. Hudson because not only does she take care of him in ways, and she'll stick around through hell for them. Watson because he obviously wants to be doing work with him, and he provides things Sherlock can't which can be an advantage for him.
Then you have him basically ignoring Anderson and Donovan because he finds them incompetent. Irene, in the end, showed herself to be incompetent in comparison to others. Even if she held his game for a while, by the end they had Sherlock win over her, act disappointed and cold, and then go save her? That doesn't seem like the Sherlock we've seen.(How did this become so long?)
And like you said, canon Irene is a boss bitch and doing her thing. She's not moping over Sherlock.
And even Sherlock describes him in canon as, and I believe this is the direct quote. "A smoking, GQMF."
Fuck.
Especially not if it's that successful and big.
I think they're just trolling in the deep tbh........
WHY
WHY WHY MOTHERFUCKING WHY
Ugh.
