During boy band One Direction's appearance on The Late Late Show on RTÉ One on Friday night, singer Harry Styles revealed he acquired a new tattoo during the group's visit to Dublin.
Asked by host Ryan Tubridy about his most recent tattoo, Styles replied: "I've got one on my arms here [pointing to inside of arms]; I got it today."
Tubridy then asked to see the tattoo, but Styles explained that his arms were still covered following the tattooing and that he could not roll his jacket sleeves up.
He told Tubridy that the tattoo reads, 'Things I can' on the inside of one of his arms and 'Things I can't' on the other.
When asked by Tubridy what the tattoo meant, the group's Niall Horan added dryly: "It's a London thing."
During the interview, the group took part in a quiz and discussed fame and the foods they missed from home, with Mullingar's Horan saying he missed his granny's "cabbage, mash and turnip".
PARTY boys One Direction enjoyed a night on the lash in Dublin and hit the decks before their Late Late Show appearance yesterday.
The fivesome arrived on Thursday evening and went straight to the Grafton Lounge in the city centre.
Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson let their hair down on a rare night off before heading to Montrose in Dublin 4.
An insider revealed: “They arrived into the club with no big announcement that they were coming and had a few beers.
“All of them were in great form in the Grafton Lounge and dancing with punters — people couldn’t believe they were in there.”
The boys then left for celeb haunt Lillie’s Bordello and Niall and Zayn, both 19, took to the DJ desk to mix some tunes for the evening.
The insider added: “The boys were in the members bar in Lillies but soon mingled with everyone.
“They seemed to be having a great night and Niall and Zayn loved mixing some tunes and having the craic.
“They left before the club was finished and went back to their hotel.”
One Direction were greeted by hundreds of fans when they made their way to the RTE studios.
The band spoke to Ryan Tubridy about their incredible rise to fame.
Niall and the lads wanted to thank Irish fans for making their new single Live While We’re Young shoot straight to No1 in the charts here.
He tweeted: “I’m home! We are in dublin today! Late late show tonight! Loadsa other promo too! Glad t be home! #1DinIreland” Fans of the lads began gathering at RTE early yesterday with hopes of catching a glimpse of the band.
Megan Dolan, 15, from Westmeath, said: “We got up at five this morning and came up.
“It’s so exciting — it feels really weird that we are going to see them.
“The crowd is getting bigger and bigger. Niall is my favourite because he’s from Westmeath but I love Harry too.”
Abbey Larkin, 15, from Dublin, said: “I have met them before but my heart is racing here already.”
Modest Niall earlier laughed off comparisons between One Direction and The Beatles.
The boyband have already taken America by storm, with their success being compared to Beatlemania during the Sixties.
But during an appearance on Xpose with Glenda Gilson, pragmatic Niall said: “I don’t think so.
“We don’t feel like it anyway. If we were able to emulate that success it would be amazing but the Beatles are the Beatles.”

SUPERSTARS One Direction have been partying with fans since arriving in Ireland ahead of their Late Late Show appearance.
Mullingar-born Niall Horan and his band mates Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik flew into Dublin on Thursday and kicked off their first night in town unwinding at two local nightclubs,the Grafton Lounge and Lillies Bordello.
A source told the Irish Independent that the 'Up All Night' singers arrived to the Grafton Lounge accompanied by six bodyguards and spent a few hours mingling and dancing with the crowd.
"They came under tight security but didn't want to be put in a closed off area by themselves at all. They had a couple of drinks and chatted to everyone."
Obviously making the most of some well-deserved time off, the quintet then continued the evening at nearby Lillies, where they stayed until 2am.
"They were given a private section in Lillies but they were still moving around to talk to people and take pictures."
"They were extremely laid back and just seemed to be happy to have a break from their hectic schedules."
The venue is fast becoming a celebrity haunt - Cheryl Cole visited last week after her Dublin show.
It is believed that the band, who came to prominence on the X Factor, are staying at the Fitzwilliam Hotel in Dublin.
Niall Horan tweeted this afternoon: "I'm home! We are in dublin today! Late late show tonight! Loadsa other promo too! Glad t be home!"
