One Direction star Niall Horan and Demi Lovato are said to be "loosely dating" after months of speculation regarding their relationship.
According to The Mirror, Horan and The X Factor USA judge are reportedly keeping their romance "casual" due to their hectic work schedules.
They are said to have shared video chats over Skype, as well as going out for dinner in Los Angeles following the MTV VMAs last month.
A insider told the newspaper that Demi has since admitted that she is seeing the Irish hunk, adding: "Demi's told the guys backstage she and Niall are loosely dating - it's casual but they are definitely dating, albeit long-distance,"
Lovato has also apparently addressed her feelings for Niall, with the tabloid quoting the 20-year old beauty as saying: "He has a lot of great qualities. He is an amazing listener and makes me laugh a lot, two of the main qualities I look for.
"He knows I have a little crush on him, and we enjoy having dinner when we get the chance. We speak and message all the time."
She continued: "I don’t want a relationship over Skype; we are both in a place where we feel zero pressure to rush.
"We share the philosophy that the right one is worth waiting for.”

"She is not supposed to be dating for a year. But, then again, she has never been very good at following directions. So she has agreed to be set up with a very hot celebrity. The setup was orchestrated by her boss, who has a vested interest in getting publicity for both the boy and the girl.
They cut a deal for an initial four month contract – ending just before Christmas – with an option for renewal. Their first “date”, complete with paparazzi photos, is scheduled for August.
