He and Neil deGrasse Tyson are my favorite people who visit Real Time. I nearly cried when I went to LA and got to go to a taping ... and Dr. Tyson was one of the guests. If Seth would have been on it, too, I probably wouldn't have survived.
yep. I loved his point about everyone starting a race, and letting the black people join the race half way through and wondering why they haven't caught up.
Oh really? Then you must have loved his bit about White Zingers and better than Black Zingers. That shit was so straight up racist and ignorant.
Bill says alot of hateful shit on his program and guns so hard for Muslim faith. Sure he's anti-religion but when it comes to Muslim faith he's defends Christianity and spout such strong Islamaphobia.
Kerry was AMAZING especially when talking about colleges and discrimination
now what i want to talk about is the fact that there are people YOUNG PEOPLE who do not believe in global fucking warming. I was gobsmacked I've always heard older people not believe it and rolled my eyes but expected it but people maybe 10/5 years older than me saying they don't believe in global warming is so scary and shocking.
The republican party has gone off the deep end we need to just get rid of them all and start all over again because the things they say dont have any place in 2012 I don't even think they'd make sense in 1950 they need to go back to the stone age.
The conservatives' arguments about climate change were so goddamn embarrassing. Like that guy kept saying you don't know what will happen in a 100 years so let's not do anything. a) it's happening now. centuries old records are now broken every year, and the number of devastating floods and droughts and hurricanes just keep escalating. b) Climatologists predict changes in climate from studying the climate previously. It's science, read a fucking book.
climate change is what evolution was once before the difference is the more people wait on believing that global warming is real the more fucked we are. Like they said "what are we going to replace Iowa with?"
I don't agree with the climate change / evolution analogy that they brought up. Less people believe in evolution than they did 20 years ago. As the Duggars keep breeding and smart people keep having fewer and fewer children, there will be more and more people adding to that.
It's ridiculous. And let's say global warming isn't correct, how is taking better care of the environment and finding less detrimental alternative fuels and such a bad thing?
I can imagine someone making a comment like that in the 1800's. "We don't need to free the slaves, we have Frederick Douglass." Black people and other minorities have been doing extraordinary things for hundreds of years. That doesn't mean racism is suddenly over -___-
I don't know her very well, but she was absolutely perfect and completely destroyed Cain. I was happy to see that Mark Foley agreed with her, too. He has grown a lot since his whole scandal.
I wish I could be as eloquent as Kerry Washington in arguments like that. There are so many issues I have such strong feelings about and I'm able to voice my opinion fairly well, but if someone gets me angry, I can start stuttering and get too sarcastic and it always diminishes what I'm trying to say.
I've seem some of the islamaphobia come through on some of his speeches and responses to panelists' dialogue on the show...
...but I haven't really seen the misogyny all that much. I've heard this about him from others before, so maybe I'm not sensitive to it or perhaps I just don't understand the core concepts of what misogynist-tendencies sound like, but do you have specific examples of this, or is it more like in everything he says and I need to pay more attention?
...but I haven't really seen the misogyny all that much.
You must not be a longtime viewer of the show or this man. He's always spouting stupid shit about women. Just his dialogues when Hillary Clinton was running was absolutely offensive on so many levels.
I don't see how anyone can be a fan of the man. Sure I've been watching his show from its conception when it was Politically Incorrect on Sundays on Comedy Central.
I never liked him, I loved the format of the show and the roundtable guests. Bill is about as ignorant at Right-Wingers on certain subjects.
I agree with this, but the guests make the show. I hate that he is such a misogynist, because he makes a lot of good points about people like Sarah Palin and it gives her, and others like her, the ability to bring up his misogyny to deflect from the actual point he made.
And next week Darrell Issa and Ann Coulter are going to be on. I love that she always ends up saying something like, "Well, I'm going to have to look that up. I think you're wrong." Her and Issa are going to have me wanting to punch the screen, though.
She is fucking flawless. I watched this and was shouting out loud, all testifyin' n shit. I wanted to post the bit where she schooled wtf his name is on affirm action. OMFG
Yeah. Just....putting that out there, I guess....
okay
lol

I don't remember there being so much controversy over global warming in the 90's, it seems like we are going in the wrong direction on both.
like what planet do these people live on? what was amazing is that he looks young you'd think he'd be more aware? O_o

totes okay to be a misogynist, racist and islamaphobic douche as long as he has some good points on the economy~~~~

His attitude towards women is just vile.

Especially right after the VP debate. lol.
