Nicole Scherzinger loves her independence on the X factor

"I'm actually having a pleasant time on this show."

Nicole Scherzinger has said that she is having more fun on the British version of the X Factor now boss Simon Cowell isn't sitting next to her.
The former Pussycat Doll was a judge on the last series of X Factor USA alongside Paula Abdul, but the girls were axed in a shake-up.
Nicole said: "I was with Simon last week. I went to school with Simon, he taught me what to do and that's how I started on this show.
"It's weird for him not to be there, getting under my skin, driving me nuts."
But she added: "I'm actually having a pleasant time on this show."

For the current series of the X Factor USA, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato joined the panel as judges.
Nicole said: "Anyone who saw me in the US, will have seen that it's really hard for me to let people go."
"I'm an artist first and a judge second."
She added: "I'm very empathetic to how they're feeling and I don't want to let them go. It breaks my heart to see them leave and it's the hardest part of the competition."
