Hitchcock stars Anthony Hopkins as the legendary director and centers on his relationship with his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren) during the troubled production of Psycho. Fox Searchlight recently pushed the film into a prime awards season November release date, and the pic is slated to make its world premiere at the AFI Fest on November 1st. These images give us a look at Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh, Jessica Biel as Vera Miles, and James D’Arcy as Norman Bates himself, Tony Perkins. We also get a look at Hopkins and Mirren as Mr. and Mrs. Hitchcock. Backstage stories are always fascinating and I can’t wait to see what director Sacha Gervasi has put together.
The film also stars Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Danny Huston. Hitchcock opens on November 23rd.

The Girl stars Toby Jones as Alfred Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as Tippi Hedren, and tells the story of the director’s obsessive relationship with his leading lady during the making of “The Birds” and “Marnie.” As he attempted to sculpt Hedren into the perfect Hitchcock blonde of his imagination, he became obsessed with the impossible dream of winning the real woman’s love. Her rejection of his misguided attempts only added to his obsession, putting both their careers and personal lives in jeopardy.
Directed by Julian Jarrold from a screenplay by Gwyneth Hughes, and based on the book “Spellbound by Beauty,” by Donald Spoto. Imelda Staunton, Carl Beukes and Penelope Wilton also star. The Girl is an HBO Films presentation in association with BBC.

He really does resemble Anthony. I was so excited when he got cast. Everyone wanted Andrew Garfield for the role which is a big NOPE idts.
I remember watching it in my film noir class and I told everyone that there was sexual tension between Charlie and Charlie and everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

I also really love Family Plot. I know it's panned as his worst but it's just so much fun.
