Taylor Swift Addresses Her "Shocked Face"

Taylor Swift sat down for an interview with Nightline last night, and she was asked some real hard hitting questions. Mainly: about that "shocked face" she receives criticism for every time she wins an award.

"People make so much fun of me for that," Swift laughs, "and I just, I don't know. It's like, if you win an award, isn't that crazy? ... How do you sit there and be like 'Oh, another Grammy. I guess I'm gonna get that now.'"

"I try to be sometimes," Swift replies when told that she's not blasé, "but it's just hard when you get excited about stuff."

Swift also discusses her relationship with the Kennedys, and, of course, her upcoming album "Red," due out October 22nd.

she wrote a song when she was like, 12 that had the lyric "that's fine i'll tell mine (my friends) that you're gay." it was later changed to "that's fine you won't mind if i say" and she's since apologized and only performs the changed lyrics.

this poster has latched onto that one lyric from ages ago and brings it up in every post about her now lol

I think it's cute

I think her face is ridiculous, but I can't get mad at the fact that she legitimately gets excited about a win. At least she appreciates it. She said in an interview a few years ago that she has to be thankful for each win because one day they'll be a time when she may not be winning anything at all.

ITA. I love that she's legit happy and knows that success may be fleeting. She's one of the few celebs who strikes me as a generally *nice* person. (And I appreciate her apologizing changing the lyric mentioned above. It shows an ability to own up to mistakes and change.)

nothing cute about being thankful for winning fixed awards. i mean, with the exception of the grammys, all music award shows will give awards to whoever shows up. its no secret.

It goes beyond that though. It's a complete attention thing, in my opinion. I went to her concert in 2010 (the things you do for friends) and I swear, between every song or two, she would just stand there with her mouth gaping and let the crowd scream for ten minutes. I spoke to people who had attented previous shows of hers and said she did the same thing at that one. It's ridiculous.

Her whole existence is annoying.

some things about her annoy me but i think its mainly due to the fact that she's around my age so i feel unaccomplished and inadequate when i look at her life, but generally she seems like a really nice person and i'd probably want to be her friend. however, i don't really like her new singles :/

i find her so boring and bland but at the same time i would love her life.

if i was taylor swift for a day, i would do all i can to tarnish her good girl reputation. just to see the world's reaction afterwards
