HBO renews Boardwalk Empire for a fourth season!

Three weeks into its latest run, HBO has given the green light to another season of Boardwalk Empire.

Already netting 7.2 million gross viewers for its September season premiere. the show will return to the cable network in 2013.

“Terry Winter, Martin Scorsese and the rest of their outstanding team continue to produce a stunning show that never fails to surprise and entertain,” said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo. “We are excited to bring this unique series back for a fourth season.”

Not impressed by this season so far. It feels sf slow. My bf and I just about died at the end of the last episode when nothing crazy happened.

Agreed. The writing is just so razor sharp and smart and with so many character actors killing it (no puns) every week, it's one of the best things on television, still. Happy that we will get some Jimmy moments in flashbacks and he will always be a strong presence on the show.

and I have been loving this season so far, it hasn't felt slow to me just like they are building tension effectively idk

this season needs more:
1. margaret being HBIC
2. owen being sexy and irish
3. harrow being awesome and/or paternal to tommy
4. everyone in chicago and nyc (arnie and capone, i'm looking at you)

and it needs less:
1. lillian and her brothel
2. nucky's face and piss poor attitude
3. the new girl who, although less annoying than paz, i am still nhf

i am still undecided on gyp...i like how he makes me scared for whatever no-name character is in the scene with him, but COME ON how has no one killed him yet if he freaks out over any little thing??
