they didnt even TRY to cast someone who resembled takeda at all. They just said "oh, he's asian, he will do". It wasn't even close and didnt even have the same personality. He was like 20 years older than takeda 1

I watch Revenge with my mom, and we were both so confused! I hadn't heard about the recast, so until Amanda said his name I had no idea who he was. And then I started wondering if he was just related to Takeda, or maybe original recipe!Takeda was an evil impersonator who was playing her, and this dude is the real Takeda who was supposed to be her sensei all along.

....Which might have made more sense than just passing this guy off as the same character, because they look and act NOTHING alike.

And I don't even know what to think about the British dude.

His age is my favorite thing to surprise my friends with when I get them into this show. They're stunned and request avid googling in order to believe it.

I also love the fact that he dated Rachel Leigh Cook for a while and yet NO pictures of them exist whatsoever outside of their Josie and the Pussycats stills.

I love this show but I have an issue:

how the fuck could victoria have ANYTHING to do with emily's mom? She was like.. out of the picture/"dead" before victoria even met david clarke. And why would he lie to her about her own mother?

it doesn't make sense though with things they showed previously? like, the casted a younger amanda for the hospital scenes with the mom... and victoria didnt even meet david clarke until later? Unless he just lied to amanda for NO reason that her mom was dead and then victoria "took care of her" years later

emily's dad was still married to jjl when he was with victoria, and he went to ask jjl for a divorce. jjl was in a mental hospital and didn't want to be around emily because she was so sick.
