Ian Somerhalder Responds to Fifty Shades of Grey Casting Rumors + at the 2012 EMA's

Is Ian Somerhalder officially our Christian Grey?! Well...maybe.


The Vampire Diaries star didn't confirm or deny his future as Fifty Shades of Grey character Christian Grey at the 2012 Environmental Media Awards Saturday night, yet he did tell E! News what he predicts the audition process would be like and his take on the success of the books.


Ian shared: "I think that's going to be a very interesting story to tell...It seems like whoever plays that role, it will be very interesting rehearsal time…the audition process is gonna be interesting."


As for who Ian would cast as his Anastasia?


The actor responded: "My Anastasia? I don't know…there are too many [good Hollywood actors] to name."


Although the actor wouldn't reveal whether he's in for the sexually adventurous gig, he did share that. "I get it. I get it. I get why it's taken off the way it has."
