Parker has been cast as one of the leads in the NBC drama pilot for the thriller, The Secret Lives Of Husbands And Wives, which centers on "a murder and the secrets and lies within a tightly woven group of three suburban couples and their families exposed in its aftermath," says Deadline.

Ms Parker will play Paula, half of one of the 3 couples, described as "a tough and strikingly beautiful trophy wife who, after twelve years of a troubled marriage, questions whether to stay with her husband because of love or respect… all while having no idea that he is financially ruined."

Parker joins the already-cast Perrey Reeves in the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced soap.

Parker, who recently wrapped a lauded performance on Broadway in A Streetcar Named Desire, also has Vipaka, with Forest Whitaker, Sanaa Lathan and Anthony Mackie, coming up.

Seth Gilliam (Teen Wolf, The Wire) Joins Damon Gupton, Aunjanue Ellis In AMC's LaGravenese/Goldwyn Legal Thriller

Exactly 2 weeks ago, we reported the news that Damon Gupton had landed the lead role in AMC’s untitled Richard LaGravenese and Tony Goldwyn project, described as a legal thriller with major political, personal and ethical stakes.

Gupton will play Adam Powell - a district attorney who uncovers new evidence that prompts the re-investigation of a sensational murder case.

Aunjanue Ellis was announced as co-star alongside Gupton, playing his wife, Billie Powell, described as a successful partner in a private equity firm and generally regarded by others as "the smartest person in the world."

Marin Ireland (Homeland, Mildred Pierce) is also co-starring in the project.

And today brings word that Seth Gilliam (The Wire) has joined the cast in a recurring role, playing Adam’s younger brother, described as "a handsome uniformed cop."

LaGravenese will write and executive produce alongside Goldwyn, who will direct. By the way, Goldwyn plays President Fitzgerald Grant on Shonda Rhimes' Scandal; he's a director in his own right, helming episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Damages, Private Practice, Dexter, Justified, and others.

I'd say this is shaping up to be, at the very least, a well-acted legal drama/thriller, and I'm looking forward to seeing what develops.

You can currrently find Gilliam on MTV's Teen Wolf.
