tbh tofu done well is one of the yummiest things. But then I don't really like the taste of red meat, I guess to people who do like that flavour and are promised that tofu is similar would be disappointed.

I made tofu for the first time today (of the bbq variety) and it was pretty damn good. I could continue to eat this.

I used to not be a huge fan of tofu until I had tofu scramble. It was so good.

tofu's yummy, but soy's not super awesome for the body, or at least my body. sucks cos i could live off of edamame.

I actually don't know any rude vegans. The ones I know are all nice and non-annoying about it.

Actually, the ones I've met have all been great. They just requested that we have vegetarian foods when we held work functions (which we always did) and they were always super grateful.

However, most of them were also from the Middle East, so maybe it's a cultural thing?

A guy I work with just went vegan with his wife and he goes "we're not here to preach". All I have heard since then is preaching. He's the only vegan I know and unfortunately he is fitting the Annoying Vegan stereotype to a T.
My vegetarian friends are awesome though and have never tried to convert me.

This is me. If I go out and I'm hungry, I'm irritable and not interested in anyone or anything, just need to get some food.

Blood sugar is low thing, etc.

I've known two people who got really horrible mood swings/super cranky when they were even mildly hungry - turned out to be hypoglycemia. Their blood sugar would be zilch and they'd become com.plete. ass.holes. until they would eat and push it back up again. Might be worth looking into.

This is my family whenever we're on vacation together. We get all cranky and grouchy and scream at each other over the dumbest stuff and then my sister goes "Why don't we sit down and have lunch now..." and then after we've eaten, things are okay again. It's stupid how often it happens because we really are that predictable lol.

same. all the vegans i know are really self righteous.

The only vegans I've ever met that were "pleasant" were vegans who didn't become so for any kind of moral or ethical reason. I've known people who've tried the diet and decided they liked how they felt and just stuck with it.
