I was ready to laugh, but I can't believe they still came with the stale Robsten joke.

Great gif, great movie.
makahakat 26th-Sep-2012 03:57 am (UTC)
i would agree but its jane lynch, she can say anything and its automatically amazing to me, lmao
cleanburritos 26th-Sep-2012 04:05 am (UTC)
At least they didn't make her shout and swear for no reason. I was like WTF with some of these guys.
ashe_frost 26th-Sep-2012 05:32 pm (UTC)
To be fair, it was probably far less stale when they actually filmed this.
crucified 26th-Sep-2012 03:53 am (UTC)
Embarrassing.
goofusgallant 26th-Sep-2012 03:54 am (UTC)

Miley looks cute tho.
sadisticsidhe 26th-Sep-2012 03:57 am (UTC)
Good message.

Horrible second hand embarrassment inducing delivery.

ALSO THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS COMING UP! IT DIFFERS BY STATE BUT OCTOBER 6 IS THE EARLIEST.

IF YOU ARE 18+ AND A CITIZEN OF THE USA YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE AND VOTE.

IT'S NOT JUST OBAMA AND ROMNEY.

THE ENTIRE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, 1/3 OF THE SENATE, STATE LEGISLATURES, MANY GOVERNORS, JUDGES, AND STATES’ ISSUES- like marriage equality and the right to chose-ARE ALSO ON THE BALLOT.

I won't tl;dr you but SERIOUSLY. VOTE. WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?
saintssin 26th-Sep-2012 04:06 am (UTC)
THISSSSSS

Everyone here goes on about Obama and Romney. It's important to vote for EVERYONE.
twowaymirrrors 26th-Sep-2012 04:09 am (UTC)
The entire house is up? I'm so glad people around here are actively campaigning for it then wtf
sadisticsidhe 26th-Sep-2012 04:15 am (UTC)
The term for a representative is every two years. So every even year the entire house is up for election. That's why they talk about taking back the house during midterms.

They probably don't actively campaign because incumbent win so much. They get a lot more press during the midterms, when it's less focused on the president.
roguedandelion 26th-Sep-2012 01:51 pm (UTC)
Yep very few people live in competitive districts, so you don't usually see campaigning for it. Most districts are so gerrymandered that the other person has no shot. My district is for some reason split up with the richer areas of a couple different cities and a county I don't even live in. I always vote for the democratic challenger but they never win.
evangelion 26th-Sep-2012 04:31 am (UTC)
thank you for mentioning the deadline! i didn't even know there was one since i just always register really early.

CA people, you have until Oct. 22.
rkt THIS. 26th-Sep-2012 04:38 am (UTC)

I AM SO TIRED OF REPEATING MYSELF ON FB ABOUT THIS. PEOPLE KEEP ENCOURAGING FOLKS TO REGISTER VOTE SO THEY CAN VOTE FOR PREEEEEEEEEEEEESIDENT. BUT THERE'S SO MUCH MORE.

I LIVE IN A CITY WHERE THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE MY BIG GULP AWAY! PAY ATTENTION PEOPLE!

FREAKING VOTE.

ok, so i'm not entirely upset about the big gulp thing. it's still the principle of the matter. and the prez does pick scotus. but the congress approves scotus. so.
litenbritemanay 26th-Sep-2012 05:36 am (UTC)
i'm a permanent resident so i guess that a no for me.
akasha6915 26th-Sep-2012 08:45 am (UTC)
The point about the House needs to be stronger because of how much influence Congress has in getting shit done. Oh dear gawd, people who are in swing states, hell any state, need to get out there and vote. Get people in the house who will actually vote for change. The president isn't magic!
ileblues 26th-Sep-2012 02:22 pm (UTC)
yeyy I´m so excited about this election and I´m not even american!
stillglows 26th-Sep-2012 05:28 pm (UTC)
i'm not american, but thanks for the dates. now i can harass all my american friends.
daniellasaur_xo 26th-Sep-2012 06:52 pm (UTC)
This is probably a dumb question, but if I was able to vote in the last presidential election, do I have to re-register?
jinnycalderone 26th-Sep-2012 04:00 am (UTC)
oop, im not voting this year. ive only ever voted once, and that was i think john kerry, when bush was reelected. im still pissed off about that tbh.
jinnycalderone 26th-Sep-2012 04:00 am (UTC)
that video was cute.
benicebitch 26th-Sep-2012 04:02 am (UTC)
Why aren't you voting?
jinnycalderone 26th-Sep-2012 04:10 am (UTC)
idk, i didnt register, i dont like politics, i dont like obama 100% tbh, etc.

Jumping on the "please vote" bandwagon, even if you vote third party/write-in for the president. There's also the state elections to consider (if any house/senate members are up for election, that's just as important as the presidential election).

Plus, in that Lupe Fiasco post a couple days ago someone brought up that one or two of the supreme court may or may not retire this term (though I'm not 100% about that). So you also need to consider would you rather have Obama or Romney appoint new judges?
neko_oni 26th-Sep-2012 08:01 am (UTC)
I know you had a couple people jumping on you. But you can take this quiz (there's lots of different answers in case youre unsure how to answer). It'll let you know how you should side with voting.

http://www.isidewith.com/

TBH, earlier in the campaign season I was undecided on voting or not because I wasn't 100% Obama. But when the Rep. started putting in their platform that the LGBTQ community shouldn't get equal rights, that woman don't deserve a choice or the free BC, their stance on even kids when it comes to immigration, using the Bible to dictate laws... I had enough and have completely jumped shipped from the right to the left (I'm an independent). They don't want all American citizens to have equal rights where the left is pushing for it socially, economics aside.

Sorry for the book. Think about it! :)
mynamehere07 26th-Sep-2012 08:56 am (UTC)
:( That makes me sad when people say things like this. I was disappointed too when Kerry lost, but if anything it made me more determined to continue voting to change things.

I know it sometimes feels like you're just one person, one vote and it wouldn't make a difference either way if you voted or not. But if all the people who felt like they didn't "make a difference" actually participated, it would make a difference.

I hope you change your mind, go reregister, and take a bit of time to learn about the candidates to make an informed decision.
benicebitch 26th-Sep-2012 04:04 am (UTC)
I registered to vote a few weeks ago. I'm actually really excited lol.
candycheeks 26th-Sep-2012 04:07 am (UTC)

twowaymirrrors 26th-Sep-2012 04:10 am (UTC)
I still need to register with a party but I can worry about that when some primaries roll around. For this election I am all set :)
ladyfly56 26th-Sep-2012 04:11 am (UTC)
i'm still waiting for my voter card to come in
loverelapse 26th-Sep-2012 05:14 am (UTC)

roguedandelion 26th-Sep-2012 01:54 pm (UTC)
