Rolling Stone Is Not Here For Xtina's Body

You can measure a singer's place in the pop-star pecking order by the quality of the Max Martin/Shellback song she releases. For Xtina, the news ain't good. "Your Body" is a sluggish and nearly hookless hookup anthem, apparently dredged from that part of the Stockholm harbor where the Swedish hitmakers toss their D-list material.

back to basics, honestly. Listening to that album and the shit shes been putting out in the last two years is just sad. You can tell that's the last album that was really her, not what the record executives want her to be.

it's stabilizing on radio, and getting really good updates. i think it's at 25 on itunes rn and is expected to debut at 33 on bb. it'll shoot up once promo kicks in. im not saying this song is going to be a huge smash but people are crazy if they think its going to be a huge failure. pretty sure RCA has a lot planned with her + all the cheap promo from The Voice will help tremendously.

It will be lucky to get Top 10, maybe Top 15. It's an OK first single and hopefully the 2nd single will do better. The song is OK but nothing impactful unfortunately. She needed something like Moves Like Jagger tbh.

I'm disappointed. . . she can do so much better than what this song is. I am listening to it now for the 3rd time, and I just do not like it. it seems desperate and tacky. she can do better with her voice.
