Jewish Goddess Post

She's been working hard in recent weeks, using her star power to back President Obama's re-election campaign.

But on Thursday Natalie Portman decided to concentrate on her family life, spending time with her gorgeous son Aleph.

The 31-year-old actress toted her one-year-old son while heading to a local gym in Los Feliz.

Natalie dressed down in a white T-shirt and jeans as she and Aleph made their way into the sports centre.

She accessorised her outfit with a pair of retro cat eye sunglasses, while little Aleph wore a blue T-shirt and checked shorts.

Natalie was accompanied by her parents Shelley and Avner on the day trip, who presumably were given the task of keeping an eye on Aleph while the Black Swan star worked out.

It was recently reported that Natalie, who was last seen on screen in 2011 movie Thor, is thinking more seriously about which projects she takes on because she wants to spend more time with her son.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: 'Natalie is being super choosy about her projects and taking more time off from acting.

'She has this glow about her these days. There’s been a change in her since the little man arrived.'

However, Natalie does have her finger in a few different pies at the moment.

As well as reprising her role as Jane Foster in the upcoming Thor sequel The Dark World, currently filming in the UK, Natalie has also signed up to appear in western movie Jane Got A Gun alongside Michael Fassbender.

She is also rumoured to be starring with Tom Hanks in the movie adaptation of Erik Larson's noel In The Garden Of Beasts.

All you social justice trash can stay out of this goddesses post and take your jealousy elsewhere.

And how did they get this Jewish country? By illegally occupying a country. By forcing people out of their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Continuing to kill, oppress and humiliate them?

The mandate of Palestine was not a country. It had belonged to other empires for centuries and the last sort of "modern" state in the area was the Hebrew Kingdom.
There is a difference between killing civilians deliberately as some terrorist organizations do, and killing civilians as a result of counter-attack.
Jews were forced to flee Arab countries after continued attacks on them as well.
The palestinian-israeli conflict is a very complex one, and blame cannot be put solely on one side.

So I made up the Gaza Massacre in 2009?
spike_freak 23rd-Sep-2012 04:30 am (UTC)
Lmao, are you trying to tell me Israeli soldiers don't deliberately target Palestinian civilians? They have bombed hospitals, bombed clearly marked red cross ambulances... do I need to post the pics of Palestinian babies whose bodies are riddled with gunshot wounds?

I would also like to point out that the Jews who were in Palestine prior to the 1948 invasion and the Arabs lived peacefully with one another. This is not a matter of being Jewish.

Palestinian civilians get killed because Hamas intentionally puts them in harm's way.

That is my honest opinion as well. Correct me if I'm wrong (seriously, because I want to know as much about this issue as I can) but the true indigenous peoples of Palestine were Canaanites, and Hebrews migrated there around 1300 BC I think, ruled for bit and were overthrown by the Romans. The area didn't become populated with Arabs until 700 AD, so like a full thousand years later... Neither side own Palestine. It's weird because *technically* the Jews were there first, but not for very long, and they aren't native to that land. But the area has been settled by arabics, or palestinians, for over a thousand years. Isn't this all partly stemming from Jews not having their own country so they established Israel?
invisible_cunt 23rd-Sep-2012 01:57 pm (UTC)
that's it in a historical nutshell
and jews have been exiled from almost every single country for centuries so god forbid they want a place they can call home
but it's a much deeper and complex issue than that
nekonekox 23rd-Sep-2012 02:26 pm (UTC)
Trying to establish who was there first is purposeless and fruitless. The fact remains that to establish the israeli state a lot of palestinians were kicked out of their homes, with nothing on their backs, so their land could be occupied by someone else.

But hey, it was only 1000 years ago that the arabs ever came into that land, so it's OK to kick them out of there... because there was someone else there first!

Thanks for cutting through the bullshit.

"The mandate of Palestine was not a country."

I hope you realize this equates, in a way, to saying that invasion is fine as long as the Others are not organized in the same way as we are... that reminds me of the colonization of America, in a way, too.

"The palestinian-israeli conflict is a very complex one, and blame cannot be put solely on one side."

When one side holds so much power against another, you can't really speak of a two sided issue. It's both hypocritical and cynic to do so.

THANK YOU

bgwqlc 23rd-Sep-2012 06:00 am (UTC)
I was going to reply with that fact but I did not want to get involved. Britain gave them the land after World War Two.

It's a shame that most reasonable people tend to stay out of these discussions here - thus allowing all the rabid anti-Zionists to stay unchallenged with their distorted view on reality.
jazzypom I was going to say this23rd-Sep-2012 09:20 am (UTC)
Um, yeah, Britain got involved after WW II and the aftermath of that legacy (don't want to bring Godwin into this post).
