Worth the watch just for Scott in boots and shorts. Not to mention anything Avett Brothers is a million times better live.

aaaah i love them so muchhhh

But I'm guessing you're new if you only saw them for the first time in June.
Wait until you see them when they start growing giant Civil War style beards.
It was nice to finally have a studio version of Down with the Shine, but they sucked the life out of it. I like Telling Time (PGFM), but that song's real old. I liked maybe two other songs. :(
And agreed. There's obviously something not working here. I wonder what they'd sound like with a different producer.
I think bands are more concerned with making songs that will sound amazing live, than they are about album friendliness. I know bands usually do stuff like that, but they're being much more obvious and vocal about it. Even though Shields is flawless, Grizzly Bear's new stuff was so much more powerful live. Mumford admitted to doing it and while I think Babel is freaking amazing, it's definitely not meant to be enjoyed through earbuds.
What a great way to start Friday, opening up ONTD to see my favorites at the top!
