I wish she received more attention from the media. She's really talented and I like that she seems to incorporate so many different elements in her music.
She used to hang around Lamar High School in Houston while my sister was there (this was before she had her son), so I'd run across her sometimes when I went to pick up my sister up from school. She also came into the restaurant I worked on a few occasions. She was just snotty and fake every time. This was a while ago so she may have changed, but first (and second, third, seventh...) impressions are hard to shake.
Unfortunately, it is so :(. My friend and I went to one of her concerts and afterwards we tried to meet her. Unlike her backup singers and Raheem Devaughn, who were all really nice, Jill was a complete bitch. My friend and I had gone up to her to ask for her autograph and she ignored us and looked right through us, like we weren't even there. She didn't even acknowledge our presence. It was the weirdest experience. Right before that at the concert she was preaching about how no one is better than anyone else and we shouldn't put people on pedestals...lesson learned.
Honestly after seeing some of the trifling stuff Jill has said over the years I've grown not to like her as a person either. I love her music but I'm not surprised she's a bitch IRL
