Taylor Swift looking forward to baking Season

Taylor Swift may be busy preparing to launch her new album, Red, featuring her hit single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” but she’s also excited about getting into the kitchen this fall and baking. “There’s something really calming and soothing to me about having everything measured out and stirring it and pre-heating the oven and getting it all working out,” says Taylor. “Yeah, I really like baking and I really like cooking.” Fall is one of her favorite seasons because that’s when she says she goes into baking overdrive. “Fall is when you start baking cinnamon type things and like pumpkin type things. So there’s gonna be pumpkin bread that I’m gonna make a lot of and give it to people.” Taylor says the other thing she’s looking forward to with the changing of the seasons, “Starbucks gets the Pumpkin Spice lattes which I’m excited about.”

Taylor Swift told fans that her new album, Red, would have 16 songs on it, but she also promised that a lot of bonus tracks would be popping up in various places. One of those places will be on a deluxe edition of the album that will be offered exclusively at Target, featuring three new songs and remixes of three of the cuts on the standard version of Red. “One of the toughest things about putting together an album is having to make the final song choices,” says Taylor. “I love that putting out a Deluxe Edition at Target lets me give the fans even more music.” Fans can pre-order the deluxe edition of Red beginning September 16th (today) on Target.com, and it will be available on October 22nd. Also look for Taylor to soon be appearing in Target commercials to promote the deluxe version of her album. More news about the Target version is forthcoming.

superdogbiter i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:22 pm (UTC)
whats the point of saying don;t eat raw cookie dough if it is okay to eat
stephaniebrown Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:24 pm (UTC)
it depends on whether or not you use eggs in your cookies tbh.
rexilla Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:25 pm (UTC)
it's because the raw eggs in cookie dough may contain salmonella
jessepinkman Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:31 pm (UTC)
i always fell for the The Raw Eggs Make You Stronger trope
cuteej4 Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:25 pm (UTC)
If cookie dough has raw egg then you shouldn't eat it at all
toilandblood Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:31 pm (UTC)
I eat cookie dough raw whether it has egg in it or not
i dont care, it's too good
robertsbox_xo Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:32 pm (UTC)
i eat raw cookie dough with eggs in it whenever i make cookies. which isn't often. but still idgaf so good.
deathbytamarind Re: i honestly have to wonder18th-Sep-2012 07:38 pm (UTC)
I tell myself it's okay to have a little bite here and there rather than annihilate the entire bowl. I bet I'm still exposing myself to salmonella in a tiny bit, but I need to lie to myself to enjoy the dough.
rexilla 18th-Sep-2012 07:22 pm (UTC)
every season is baking season imo

Speaking of baking, here is a super easy pumpkin cupcake recipe I am dying to try since it only has TWO ingredients... cake mix + pumpkin pie can! Now I need to find a cream cheese frosting recipe... yum.

http://sweet-verbena.blogspot.com/2011/08/pumpkin-muffins.html
firstblush 18th-Sep-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
If you like a light cream cheese frosting, you can try this one. My boss makes it on her carrot cake and I love love love it. But I mean, I'm sure you could actually make a similar frosting without the cool whip or just buy a canned version

8 oz. Cream cheese
1 cup of sugar (
8 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar . Add vanilla and blend.
Then add cool whip and blend until completely mixed. Then frost your cake
and eat it : )
everythngintime 18th-Sep-2012 07:34 pm (UTC)
Ahh, perfect! Sounds so delicious, I wish I could make it right now. I'm going to keep this and use it - thank you!
robertsbox_xo 18th-Sep-2012 07:33 pm (UTC)
ooooh saving this + the cream cheese recipe above. thank you both!

i feel like she has a pinterest that consists of nothing but like fall recipes and a crazy wedding board and DIY she will never do.

And a bunch of those angsty single lady cards that say "I want a man who overlooks how I look" and "I saw a piece of shit today and it reminded me of you (the exboyfriend)."
la_sikka 19th-Sep-2012 12:37 pm (UTC)
Yes. I am so glad you get what I am saying here, and it's not another one of the, "sounds like my pinterest LOLOLOL" comments.

so she can take pictures of cupcakes and upload them to instagram? jw
kalie_m 18th-Sep-2012 07:24 pm (UTC)
I fucking love baking, but I hate spending money on ingredients. =(
mmmyesplease 18th-Sep-2012 08:03 pm (UTC)
THIS. Especially because I eat pretty healthy so I'll end up eating maybe 4 of out 12 cupcakes over the course of the week. The rest go to my friends and coworkers. It seems so wasteful.
reginageorge 18th-Sep-2012 07:24 pm (UTC)
YES FOOD POST. I'M SO HUNGRY BUT IDK WHAT TO GET AND I DON'T WNAT TO LEAVE MY HOUSE
everythngintime 18th-Sep-2012 07:32 pm (UTC)
I hate it when you're so hungry yet so lazy - story of my life.
muzicnem 18th-Sep-2012 09:27 pm (UTC)
lol you and me both
distant_lines 18th-Sep-2012 07:39 pm (UTC)
The worst is being hungry and nothing sounds good. I hate when that happens.
cuteej4 18th-Sep-2012 07:24 pm (UTC)
You can bake anytime though!

I baked cookies this weekend. Butterscotch and chocolate chip. Yum
ronnie_luvs_u 18th-Sep-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
idk, it's hard to bake in the summer. it's so hot, the last thing you want is to heat up the oven too.
cuteej4 18th-Sep-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
I've baked in the summer before because I just GOTTA have some cookies.

We had no kitchen all summer so I wanted to bake the entire time and I couldn't
deathbytamarind 18th-Sep-2012 07:39 pm (UTC)
I can't bake a lot over the summer because my apartment is usually hella hot and we don't have AC. Now that fall and winter are coming I have an excuse to warm up the house.
kissoffools 18th-Sep-2012 07:25 pm (UTC)
My sister baked pumpkin bread for us the other day. SO FUCKING DELICIOUS. I could eat a whole loaf in one sitting.
stephaniebrown 18th-Sep-2012 07:25 pm (UTC)
i looove baking, so much. i keep having to find people to give it to though, i always end up with too much.

and i hate american recipes, so so much. you and your stupid cup system can go fuck itself tbh. (although i have new shiny measuring jug which includes cups, so it's not too much of a pain anymore).
stephaniebrown 18th-Sep-2012 07:27 pm (UTC)
i hate the way i worded that comment, but w/e.
leitao 18th-Sep-2012 07:29 pm (UTC)
OMG, I wish I lived near you. I would happily take all your baked goods, lol.
ronnie_luvs_u 18th-Sep-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
idk, better than grams. this isn't chemistry class, I don't have one of those intricate scales to weigh by ingredients.
stephaniebrown 18th-Sep-2012 07:38 pm (UTC)
lol but grams are so easy to weight! you only need a super basic scale.
drfaith101 18th-Sep-2012 07:43 pm (UTC)
Iawtc
loverelapse 18th-Sep-2012 08:01 pm (UTC)
