While most young Hollywood stars are desperate to ditch their school uniforms and squeeze into a clingy bandage dress, Elle Fanning wears hers on the fashion week front row.
Squeezed in between pro-FROWers Olivia Palermo and Poppy Delevigne at the Topshop Unique show, the dinky actress gawped open-mouthed as the gorgeous collection stomped past. And rather than getting trussed up in a grown-up trouser suit, Little Miss Fanning looked as cute as a button in a navy blue shift dress over a powder blue shirt, knee-high flat black boots and a checkered bow in her flicky blonde ponytail. Oh so adorable.
And we may have Alexa Chung to thanks for the school girl prettiness. 'She always looks so cute!' Elle's like an excitable child when we mention the Brit star. 'I like how she mixes the tomboy style with the girlie girl rather than just sticking to one look.'
In fact, Elle tells us, that's exactly what she loves about Topshop. 'I love that they have so many different styles so you can express your individuality by putting all the pieces together. You can wear a mannish shirt under a pretty dress… The store is so big, I can shop in one section for hours!'

This apparent Brit-over may have something to do with Elle spending the past three months in London filming Maleficient. 'It's become my second home because I've been here for so long,' she says. 'You have great vintage shops here.'
Indeed we do. And who better to enjoy our fair city with than her Maleficient co-star Ms Angelina Jolie? 'Just watching her work is incredible and she's so sweet to everyone. It's also nice to see her as a mom because the kids come on set. There's no one better to play that part.'
