I've never watched the American Idol, but I assume it's about the same. But the German one has gone way downhill in the past years, it's quite embarassing to watch tbqh.

Thank God I quit watching that show a few seasons ago. Originally they'd always had two or three good singers who kept me watching but now it's just trash.

I think I only watched the first 2 seasons because back then everyone did. It was so unbelievably trashy. Now it's so bad that it's actually bad in a way that's not even entertaining anymore. RTL = Unterschichten-TV /not completely serious but kinda

I even watched more seasons and one had a really good singer Thomas Godoj. He was a very deserving winner and I loved to see him sing. But after that it turned to trash. In the castings they only have 10 singers per hours and Dieter Bohlen the allmighty judge is only interested in choosing sexy woman and probably some guys who can sing.

If you're girl with dark hair you don't need to be able to sing more than two notes , Dieter will let you through . A boy only needs to be Bravo presentable and he's a sure thing for the live shows. Oh and a nice sob story is always a plus

In one season he choose one blond girl who couldn't sing at all over other who could. I was shocked. At the castings you could see a couple of girls who could really sing but they weren't "interesting" enough. And then he goes on and says that women can't sing as good as men.,

I used to be somewhat into this show when it was still good, which was YEARS ago, but I literally have not seen a single episode in like 4 seasons. Or more. The last couple of years it has been the WORST show ever with no talent coming out of it and every time I read something about it or hear anyone talk about it, it's about how misogynistic and tackyit has become.

Also, the fact that Tokio Hotel is even an international ~thing is STILL funny to me, after all this time. Not bad funny. Just funny^^

I haven't been watching this show in ages- I just hope it won't revive Tokio Hotel's career over here.
DSDS is really irrelevant tho. I have no idea who won the last two seasons.
