Trailer for 'Texas Chainsaw 3D'

Lionsgate's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family--or so they thought. Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars...

Directed by John Luessenhop (Takers), TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D stars Alexandra Daddario, Dan Yeager, Tremaine "Trey Songz" Neverson, Scott Eastwood, Tania Raymonde, Shaun Sipos, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, James MacDonald, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, Richard Riehle, Bill Moseley, and Gunnar Hansen.

Did they not have the rights to use the full title or something
redaodai 13th-Sep-2012 06:38 pm (UTC)
I hope a lot of Texan chainsaw enthusiasts see it thinking it's a docu.
henryevil 13th-Sep-2012 06:39 pm (UTC)
I like the poster though
dedebee 13th-Sep-2012 06:50 pm (UTC)
It does sound kinda awkward.
cyberghostface 13th-Sep-2012 06:57 pm (UTC)
I heard that they took out the word 'massacre' because of what happened in Colorado.
jessography 13th-Sep-2012 08:35 pm (UTC)
Maybe if that happened in Texas, it'd be sad/awkward, but they should have kept it.
life_after_luv 15th-Sep-2012 04:00 am (UTC)
At first it was called Leatherface 3D. Shrugs
redaodai 13th-Sep-2012 06:37 pm (UTC)
I thought the first in this remake series was pretty decent, but the prequel was just all right.

I watched Munger Road the other night. I liked the twist of how the fingerprints got onto the car, but the movie itself wasn't great. I'm surprised Ebert gave it a good review.
fight4thislove 13th-Sep-2012 06:51 pm (UTC)
Damn I just downloaded Munger Road too, is it still worth a viewing?

And agreed. The remake of TCM was flawless. I literally loved the shit out of that movie.
redaodai 13th-Sep-2012 07:38 pm (UTC)
MR was okay. It has no gore and it's PG-13ish. There's some good atmosphere in a few scenes. Otherwise, not that remarkable.
amor143x 13th-Sep-2012 07:40 pm (UTC)
i LOVE the remake! and ia about the prequel.
oh7 13th-Sep-2012 06:38 pm (UTC)
OP, Trey Songz has a tag.
dedebee 13th-Sep-2012 06:46 pm (UTC)

o_O oh hello ex bf
oh7 13th-Sep-2012 06:43 pm (UTC)
I'm going to pay and see this just because of my bb Trey. I read last year that his character was a big coon, hopefully that's not true. I don't expect him to live, I think I noticed one of the girls wearing his shirt.
oceanhue 13th-Sep-2012 06:44 pm (UTC)
Why tho
loverelapse 13th-Sep-2012 06:44 pm (UTC)

meaghan_wood 13th-Sep-2012 06:54 pm (UTC)

stonefox 13th-Sep-2012 06:57 pm (UTC)
Mte, just keeping running
fight4thislove 13th-Sep-2012 06:45 pm (UTC)
This kind of looks dumb. But I'll be seeing it anyways as I always see every horror movie in hopes that it may scare me so bad I can't sleep at night.

Yes.
life_after_luv 15th-Sep-2012 04:05 am (UTC)
I usually hate remakes, but honestly I think it was well done. I love how Kemper got the Marion Crane treatment in the beginning. Didn't expect it that soon. I figured he would have been one of the last survivors. I was kinda shocked.
typo21 13th-Sep-2012 06:49 pm (UTC)
I really need to watch the original again. That's seriously the only movie that's ever actually scared me.
dedebee 13th-Sep-2012 06:49 pm (UTC)
I remember when I had dial-up in 2003 and I was downloading the trailer for the Jessica Biel remake in Quicktime at 3 am one night. I stopped at a really quiet moment and then I forgot about it and started browsing other stuff, then it started back up again really loudly with a chainsaw buzzing and I screamed so fucking loud like Leatherface was attacking me himself. Good times.
clairelittleton 13th-Sep-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
lmao thank you for this imagery and laughter.
meaghan_wood 13th-Sep-2012 06:53 pm (UTC)
I am so there. I fucking love anything TCM.
