Today, Teen Wolf's creator Jeff Davis said on Twitter that Legal cleared Boyd's full name, and it was revealed!

I know a guy whose first name is vernon... no one and I mean NO ONE knew that his name wasn't actually Jay until one teacher slipped and and EVERYONE in class turned to him and mouthed "VERNON?"

He turned soooo red and got sooo pissed. no one ever brought it up again.
