can we talk about how i saw this on tumblr & someone proceeded to say iggy azalea will probably make it instead (they said its fucked up cause azealias talented) but my thing is azealias already made it tho like wtf
not complaining or anything but why is she making so many videos and not really promoting any songs properly? i mean she's getting loads of press and getting deals with brands left and right but i wonder why 212 isn't already #1? this song is gold and i feel like she needs a better team in terms of radio and tv promo etc.
i feel like shes building up her armory per-sé, cementing a steady underground fanbase before she explodes onto the scene. it may look like she's on the scene now, but she's not really well known yet and probably will make her radio debut when her album is released next year. hopefully her collab with gaga will become a single, and that will REALLY blow her up
these are all mixtape songs (with the exception of the 1991 ep songs). She's a bit too crass for mainstream promotion so I imagine that once she ends up putting out a single from her actual album she'll promote it a bit heavier.
Its bad enough we have nicki minaj but now shes opened the door for more annoying bitches making faux rap set to generic pop beats with their lame costumes and wigs.
I actually love Neptune - I thought it was boring but I love love love the Ikonika beat (also lol @ the comment above talking about "generic pop beats," Azealia has some of the best taste out there)
