A source tells Star that Anna and her baby's purported father, Larry Birkhead, have matching silver crosses, which Anna wore on the balcony June 9. "It's like she's sending him a message," says the source.
While Anna has not publicly identified the baby's father, she flaunted her burgeoning belly — and other assets! — to Stern, who has been staying with her by the sea.
Howard tenderly helped Anna slip into her top. "It was a grand production, and he was standing no more than a foot away," says an eyewitness. However, another source notes, "That's normal behavior for Howard. Anna doesn't have many close friends, so he's like her best girlfriend!"


A five months pregnant Anna Nicole Smith, 38, stepped out of hiding and onto the balcony of her rented Myrtle Beach, S.C., beachfront home on June 9 to gaze at the ocean — and show off a very pregnant belly! Anna was joined by her two dogs and constant companion, her lawyer, Howard K. Stern. "She did some stretches," says an eyewitness." She looked pretty big. Shapely, but pregnant!"

The actress, who Star previously reported is expecting a girl, enjoyed the two-story home's jacuzzi and pool, and removed her top in front of Stern before slipping into the pool! However, Larry Birkhead, the photographer who began dating Anna in 2004 and announced on May 31 that he is her baby's father, was also in the area "visiting his family," though a source said that the pair stayed apart. "Recently things got too heated and, like in the past, things usually cool off and then they get back together," says a source. Could Anna have a love triangle on her hands? Stay tuned!
