Actually not bad. Amy and Nefertitti were all over John Riddell's sexist bullshit and Amy calls out the Doctor on only dropping by when its convenient for him and lots of harmless fun.
Chris Chibnall is a great writer when it comes to incorporating historical figures/archeology/etc. with future technologies (i.e. Hungry Earth/Cold Blood)--he seems to have a thing for Silurians. Plus, he wrote one of my most favorite NuWho episodes ever, "42." I honestly would prefer Chibnall over Moffat or Gatiss any fuckin' day. He doesn't linger around "mysterious" facts and explanations, unlike Moffat. Logical explanation during climax in his stories is there in your face. And what makes his episodes enjoyable is the balance between the emotional and the scientific. In fact, I think I prefer Chibnall over Tom Macrae, and that's saying something as I loved The Girl Who Waited, and The Age of Steel/Rise of the Cybermen were the only episodes I enjoyed in Season 2 during RTD's era. Chibnall and MacRae are the only writers I like in Moffat's era... and maybe Toby Whithouse, too, but that's when I'm feeling nostalgic only (e.g. Vampires of Venice and School Reunion)
Curious what you dislike about Chibnall?
PS: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship was surprisingly excellent.
I quite liked this episode though. It was silly. And I'm choosing to believe the "You need a lesson in gender politics." line was subtly aimed at Moffat.
I thought the gender politics line was a dig at Moffat too. I liked how Amy was written in this episode because it actually showed she had intelligence (working out how the computer worked) and bravery (helping fighting off the dinosaurs) instead of just cocking her eyebrow, shaking her hair and being foolhardy and arrogant for no reason. She was funny too, I liked the whole "Don't tell Rory I said I was his queen" bit.
I am looking forward to next week's episode though just because I generally enjoy Toby Whithouse as a writer. But I 'm trying to not get my hopes up too high.
To save my liver, we only did some live texting tonight

But Moffat's Who overall is a big heap of "meh."
But robot cowboys, sigh.
A small part of me thought "Oh it can't get any worse then 'Asylum of the Daleks'" But it fucking can and it fucking did.
