omg that is a nightmare.
homicidalslayer 8th-Sep-2012 04:41 pm (UTC)
What is this world we live in?

*sigh*
sigh

I stopped asking myself that after some lunatic slashed his neighbor's kids throats in NJ.
goldengal1193 8th-Sep-2012 04:42 pm (UTC)
Glad that everything is alright. Props to the nanny.
alquilaunhombre 8th-Sep-2012 04:42 pm (UTC)
Not just your regular hero, but a ROCK STAR HERO
joshtin4lyfe 8th-Sep-2012 04:46 pm (UTC)
I thought this was gonna be a post about how he really is gay and got excited... glad his bb is okay though!
aflaminghalo 8th-Sep-2012 04:58 pm (UTC)
My mind is still blown that he is married to a woman.
laminy 8th-Sep-2012 06:01 pm (UTC)
I don't care if this is true, I refuse to believe this.

He's not gay? He's not gay? He's not gay?

What is this world coming to.
jackiemust_die 8th-Sep-2012 04:48 pm (UTC)
Tha's one of my worst nightmares. Sometimes when i'm at a red light i get anxious because i get worried someone is going to try to jump in my car with my boys in the backseat
starry_niights 8th-Sep-2012 06:36 pm (UTC)
i usually lock the car doors at red lights haha.
jackiemust_die 8th-Sep-2012 04:50 pm (UTC)
Also, paranoia dictates that i check the backseat and under the car before getting in.
goofusgallant 8th-Sep-2012 04:57 pm (UTC)
I always do this.
thetxbelle 8th-Sep-2012 05:08 pm (UTC)
That's actually a really smart thing to do, especially in parking garages.
thesilverymoon 8th-Sep-2012 05:36 pm (UTC)
I always do that. Also my mother has instilled in me an intense need to ALWAYS lock my car doors as soon as I get in the car. Even if I'm parked in my own garage and haven't opened the garage door yet.
jackiemust_die 8th-Sep-2012 05:50 pm (UTC)
I do that! I also do that when i'm in other people's car too. They look at me weird when i reach over and lock their car doors and i have to explain to them that "safety first"
a_new_haven 8th-Sep-2012 09:23 pm (UTC)
Our car doors automatically lock once we hit 20 km/h. I always lock the doors when I'm in the car and my husband runs into the store, though.
burning_disco 8th-Sep-2012 05:46 pm (UTC)
ngl, if it's really dark and late when i'm getting into my car i like launch myself into it so one one can grab my ankles from underneath it.
r4wrdinosaur 8th-Sep-2012 05:00 pm (UTC)
I hate when something terrible happens, and people immediately rush to their Facebooks/Twitter to be outraged about it. It's so annoying to me.

Buuuut, of course I feel terrible that this happened to him.
so_chic_doll 8th-Sep-2012 05:13 pm (UTC)
eh. to each their own.

i don't personally do it-- but some people just feel the need to keep everyone informed about everything that's going on in their life.

i feel like he was doing this more in gratitude-- giving props to his nanny & cops.
d00ditsemily 8th-Sep-2012 06:53 pm (UTC)
It doesn't seem like he did it immediately. This was posted late last night. It seems like he posted it when he got home to thank his nanny and the cops. I'm pretty sure my post sat in the que for 12 hours
queen_norleans 8th-Sep-2012 05:04 pm (UTC)
Oh wow, so glad everyone is okay.

I love this guy. I wish he would come and kick my fat ass into shape.
ohhhlife 8th-Sep-2012 05:30 pm (UTC)
I love him too but i would die if he tried to help me. Could. not. handle. too intense. I love the show, though.
queen_norleans 8th-Sep-2012 09:02 pm (UTC)
I definitely understand what you mean. But I think maybe I could get through the intensity with someone like Chris by my side. He seems to really care about the people he works with.
ohhhlife 8th-Sep-2012 09:40 pm (UTC)
I agree. I just couldn't handle the physical intensity. My body would PERISH.

Luckily my body responds to just diet changes, so I've lost 70lbs (all baby weight) in the last couple years with me continuing to be lazy and watch everyone get in shape on tv... Haha. *wimp*
queen_norleans 8th-Sep-2012 10:26 pm (UTC)
Hahaha I hear you. And congrats, by the way!

Physical activity ha never been one of my strong points. I was out over labor day weekend playing ladder ball with some friends (even if you don't know what that is, I assure you it is not strenuous!) and I could barely move later that night and the next morning. It's sad, really.
d00ditsemily 8th-Sep-2012 06:54 pm (UTC)
I really like him. He's one of my favorite tv fitness personalities. I rather have him whip me into shape rather than Jillian. He seems a lot more sincere.
queen_norleans 8th-Sep-2012 09:01 pm (UTC)
I completely agree. I mean, I won't deny that I love Jillian too but I feel like I would be more comfortable with Chris.
crispy1088 8th-Sep-2012 05:04 pm (UTC)
I get scarred about this happening to me when driving home from work at night. Those red lights seem to take forever.
radiant 8th-Sep-2012 05:07 pm (UTC)
wow. it's amazing that they caught the guy and everyone is okay.
thetxbelle 8th-Sep-2012 05:09 pm (UTC)
I wonder what you're technically supposed to do when someone appears to want to carjack you, I think I would hit the gas and just gtfo out there but my car isn't exactly supercharged.
sugary_placenta 8th-Sep-2012 07:30 pm (UTC)
i like to think i'd floor it, but i tend to freeze up in stressful situations so idk.
thetxbelle 8th-Sep-2012 07:57 pm (UTC)
That's how I feel too, like when you think you're going to scream in a situation but it just comes out as some tiny squeak.
lovebats 9th-Sep-2012 12:08 am (UTC)
lock your doors, begin to gas the engine, have something heavy in your driver's side door pocket to fight back with, i suppose.
so_chic_doll 8th-Sep-2012 05:11 pm (UTC)
When I was little, some guy hopped into our car when we were at a stoplight downtown... and my mom just kept calm cool and collected and started talking to the guy about jesus and his mother and shit... eventually, he found a place where he wanted us to drop him off.

like I didn't really understand what was going on when I was younger... I didn't realize how dangerous that situation was until I was older & thinking about... like "oh shit."

My mom's really good at keep calm in situations, thank god.
so_chic_doll 8th-Sep-2012 05:17 pm (UTC)
i remember once we were at a gas station filling up, and this man came up to her & demanded she go to the ATM and give him money..

she managed to stay calm, talk to him, and gave him like $20, which seemed to satisfy him.

like so damn lucky, omg.
tundrabeast 8th-Sep-2012 05:31 pm (UTC)
Your mom sounds like a psychological juggernaut, kudos to her.
so_chic_doll 8th-Sep-2012 05:36 pm (UTC)
yeah she's pretty amazing idk how she does it.
ohhhlife 8th-Sep-2012 05:31 pm (UTC)
Amazing! I'd like to think I would have done the same.. minus the jesus. Unless i thought that might work.
so_chic_doll 8th-Sep-2012 05:39 pm (UTC)
I think she was just trying to find anything positive to try to talk to him about-- to deter him from doing anything crazy.
thesilverymoon 8th-Sep-2012 05:38 pm (UTC)
Damn, talking about Jesus is actually probably a good idea. I'm going to keep that in mind if I ever happen to be carjacked (assuming I keep my cool in the first place).
lovebats 9th-Sep-2012 12:10 am (UTC)
your mom must be a badass, going for the moral jugular like that.
paristomoscou 8th-Sep-2012 05:50 pm (UTC)
I would be so terrified. So glad this ended well for him!
actrisse 8th-Sep-2012 06:13 pm (UTC)
...Is no one going to talk about his son being named Cash?
actrisse 8th-Sep-2012 06:15 pm (UTC)
Also, this is one of my fears at a red light or something especially because I live in a really bad area. I'm scared somebody is just going to run up to my window with a gun.
hipsandhearts__ 8th-Sep-2012 07:25 pm (UTC)
I'm sorry but all I took from this is that he's married to a woman???
sugary_placenta 8th-Sep-2012 07:28 pm (UTC)
one of my fears tbh.
chloe1910 8th-Sep-2012 07:38 pm (UTC)
What a nightmare for him and his son's nanny's families. So glad that both his son and the nanny is ok. Kudos to the nanny.
expectingmore 9th-Sep-2012 04:10 am (UTC)
Glad everyone's ok. But more importantly, I have a major crush on this guy. IDK what it is but I just want to mount him.
bohhead 9th-Sep-2012 05:26 am (UTC)
i hv to say, i watched the show for like 3 min and i felt like it was really important that i see his abs
