At 69 years old, Joy Behar should know better than to pick on a 7-year-old kid.
In a September 5 interview with the Huffington Post, the View star predicts the future is grim for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Alana Thompson, who first gained fame on the TLC reality series Toddlers & Tiaras.
"What's little Honey Boo Boo going to grow up to be? That's what I want to know?" Behar asks. "She's going to be a fat kid; she's going to grow up to be a big fat woman. She is, I can tell. She's just a kid, but you see the genetics are right there. She's going to have large boob boobs -- Honey Boobs Boobs."
Alana -- known for guzzling bottles of "go-go juice," a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew -- has often referred to herself and her family members as "fat" on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Matriarch June Shannon is aware of the health problems facing her family, which inspired her to initiate a weekly weight loss challenge. Though their results have been varied, they haven't stopped trying.
Still, Behar argues the family has a long way to go -- especially Alana, the most outspken of the bunch. "Wait until she grows to a 400 pound woman!" Behar, who also hosts Joy Behar: Say Anything! on Current TV, tells the Huffington Post.

Joy Behar: Honey Boo Boo Will "Grow Up to Be a Big Fat Woman"

on the other, this is all accurate.
jfc.
except they don't get nearly as much shame lbr
Overweight people have Type 2 diabetes, heart disease (which is a combination of many problems), high blood pressure, certain cancers, joint problems.
Both problems suck and are going to cost us a shitload of money.

i saw some statistics that by the year 2030, more than half the US population will be obese. sickening.
While in Los Angeles and New York you see people starving themselves to the point of cardiac failure or exercise to the point the fuck up their pulmonary system (ie. Me).
In my opinion there really is no clear answer. I think it all has to do with genetics. There plenty of obese people that live well into their 80s and 90's without diabetes, cholesterol or any kind of heart failures.
By using the term fat, are you including those that have a medical issue that causes them to have a drastic weight gain which is out of their control? I am genuinely curious about this, because according to your statement, because of my condition, I am going to be a burden on the healthcare system.

Joy said she's going to grow up to be fat and I said she's right. No where did I say, or imply, it's the child's fault.
my daughter's best friend is overweight, and my best friend from childhood is/was/always has been too
when you're a little kid and you grow up in a household that encourages behaviors that distort your food intake, you don't stand a chance
it makes me want to cry. I don't want my friend or my daughter's friend to die from a weight-related ailment one day. Perhaps I am extra-sensitive to this lately as a few weeks ago one of my dramatically overweight friends died in her sleep at age 41 and my husband's dramatically overweight friend laid down on the couch and died at age 50.
it's scary.
she hasn't even began taking responsibilities on her own yet.
its a bit too early, donchathink?
My doctor is monitoring me closely and now have a minimal exercise pattern. I'm basically doing senior citizen workouts currently.
ergo, shut up. QED. lol
A few people pointed out that dogs are different then people; and the OP must either be not giving the dog enough exercise, or feeding it crappy food, and recommending they get tests done.
The vast vast majority of the replies were along the lines of "sorry that happened to you bb, if humans can be healthy at all sizes, so can dogs!" And just, yeah. /css
