Common, Danny Glover, Michael K. Williams, Meagan Good star in Luv

Sheldon Candis' feature film debut, LUV, which stars Common and Michael Rainey Jr, will open in USA theaters on November 9, courtesy of Indomina Entertainment.

The film made its debut at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, in the dramatic competition section.

It continued to tour the film festival circuit, with screenings at the Champs-Elysées Film Festival (both in Paris and LA), American Black Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival.

It was also picked up by BET for its eventual TV debut.

The film's official synopsis reads:

An orphaned 11-year-old boy is forced to face the unpleasant truth about his beloved uncle during one harrowing day in the streets of Baltimore.

Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover, Michael K. Williams, Meagan Good and Charles S. Dutton also co-star.

That movie seems interesting. A lot of similar characters and situations but I think the movie would be entertaining.

I've been watching The Wire and I freakin LOOOOOOOVE Michael K Williams. He's amazing and needs to be in all of the things.

This looks pretty good. Common still comes off a little stiff to me but you can tell he's improved.

He's not that bad, actually. I think working on Hell on Wheels and having to consistently play the same character, one who doesn't have lameass one liners or action scenes, has helped him improve immeasurably.
